You avoided the question. You claimed that Mitt has been a conservative all his life. His own words dispute that. Do you care to backtrack on your words like Mitt has so many times had to do on his?

Are you saying that you don’t think Fred is a conservative?

FRed! is derisive towards Mitt, very juvenile behavior. No wonder McPain appreciates it.

Say WHAT?

You must have been watching a different debate. Fred (no need for the branding idiosyncracies) was in no way "juvenile," and if he was "derisinve" at all it was with respect to MiTT's? policies, not MiTT? as a person.

And MiTTs? policies DESERVE derision, as they are riscible.

I really thought he did the poorest for himself — save for Ron Paul’s one-trick pony explanation that money-supply induced inflation was the ill to every trouble..

I’m saying what I’m saying.

What are you saying? Do you care to share FRed!’s outstanding record re illegal immigration/border security?

Fred believed in pro choice and amnesty for illegals at one time. He is a more recent convert to strong stances to both, but somehow you rail on Romney. Romney has been a conservative all his life and attested to by many.

Baloney - that is as false as can be on all counts. Romney is a recent convert to conservatism. He even admits it - he wasn't even a Republican for most of his life and attacked Reagan and Bush.

Rick Klein:

“But I saw that as a pretty bad night for Mitt Romney. I think he was outflanked on immigration by McCain and Giuliani — that’s not easy to do. And you can tell that nobody on that stage likes him. He’s a frontrunner here, so he can expect the heat, but so is John McCain, and yet everyone rushed to defend McCain and attack Romney. Why would Romney say he likes mandates? How could he have let Fred Thompson best him on a debate over healthcare? Just a few of the many questions he’s going to have to sort out, against the backdrop of some McCain momentum in New Hampshire?”

Great that Duncan Hunter placed third in the Wyoming. He should have been allowed in this debate. None of them brought-up Fair Trade, restoring American manufacturing , or the China threat.

ABC/Fox/Corporate Media is afraid of the effect Duncan Hunter would likely have had in these debates.

Romney has always been pro life

Romney's own words disagree with you.

May 10: Romney receives Political Leadership award from Massachusetts Citizens for Life at a Mothers' Day dinner. Describes himself as a "convert" to the antiabortion cause, in the tradition of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. [Boston Globe, May 11, 2007.]
"Always" is a long time
Mitt Romney has a long history of supporting pro-abortion candidates and causes, and aggressively sought the support and endorsement of groups such as NARAL and Planned Parenthood.

As Governor, he issued state proclamations honoring "Right to Privacy Day" which until 2005, specifically referenced the Roe vs. Wade case.

Notes taken by key leaders of the nation's most radical pro-abortion group, the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL), reveal that at a 2002 meeting, Romney assured them he would work to soften the GOP stance on abortion and said that the GOP's pro-life position was "killing them."

It didn't take much research to find this out.

Outflanked by McCain and Sanctuary City Rudy on illegal immigration? What debate was he watching. McCain was squirming in his seat trying to defend the intricacies of his failed bill.
