A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 200,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY

Mornin' GeeBee. Some may think we're in the tropics with our 45 degree temp, but to me, IT'S COLD!!!
Can't believe I used to work outside in sub-freezing temps and I didn't think it was so bad. brrrr!
Gotta make a trip to PetsMart to get some vittles for our warm fuzzy creatures.
To: jaycee
Thank you Jaycee. She is a trip.

Lots of reasons, the main one being she is our ONLY grandchild. She is not only beautiful, she is a good little girl. She is highly intelligent (as are all grandchildren to their grandparents), and funny.
Couple of cute stories. Her parents took her on vacation to Mich. this past summer. They blew it up as a big fishing trip to Em. So Em was all excited about "going fishing with Daddy." The big day came for the fishing trip, and she and Daddy went to the lake. He put the worm on her hook. She was very solicitous of the worm. She petted it, and assured it that fishing was going to be fun. So, came the long wait and Em would pull up the worm and talk to it from time to time. Finally....a bite! She caught her first fish...........then she cried because the fish ate her worm.
Yesterday her Mom said she came out with some form of speech that sounded very "grown up". It surprised her Mom, so she asked, "Em, where did you get that from?" Without hesitation, Em replied, "Probably at Wal-Mart." LOL. She hears that from adults a lot.

Hi Diver
Are those your dogs? They look so sweet!
I hope you had a nice Birthday yesterday! I wanted to respond to your post of yesterday. That was so neat that you made the paper with you New Year’s birth! Thanks for posting the newspaper for us to see. :)
Have a great time at Petsmart. I enjoy shopping there. We are suppose to get 45 next week and it will feel like spring to me. :)

She's very funny. She also blows my mind sometimes. I made the mistake of finding Nick Jr. web site where she can play toddler games. For some time she watched as I played the games for her. Then one day she said, "I can do that myself," and she showed that she could. So, I started finding the website in my favorites list, bring up the games and let her play by herself. I bought her a small mouse. One day I told her no computer games until after her nap, then went on to do something in the kitchen. In a few minutes I came back and she was sitting here playing her games. She had turned on the computer, found my favorites list, found Nick Jr. among about 100 sites, opened it and opened the game she wanted to play and was playing it.
Her dad says she plays Tiger Woods Golf with him on his Play Station 2. That is so incredible to me. I guess children learn what they are exposed to early.

Thank you for Today's Thread, GeeBee, and to Everyone for the Adorable Graphics that are a Delight to the Eyes! Nan, Emma has Grown So Much, and is Beautiful!
My Husband Snapped a Pic of a Wild, Smokey-Gray Colored Kitty that's been Showing Up Occasionally Here where I Live, and I Bought Some Catfood to See if the Kitty could be Encouraged to Stick Around. But he Comes Here So Seldom, I Hope he Happens to Visit when I Put Out the Food!

Thatâs great. Sheâs very smart Nan. At first I was apprehensive letting my daughter get on the computer. I watch what she is doing so I let her. Now she teaches me things on paint and does some html. It is good to be exposed early.

Excuse my post with symbols. I don’t know why that happens in spell check with contractions. :)
