The Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Program was a fill in during the Christmas holiday for years, especially Christmas day. This year I could not find their lovely music. Wondering if not being on was a statement by the MSM, or perhaps I just missed their airing.

The MSM will stop at nothing to keep the Republicans from winning the 2008 election.

Due to some financial set-backs they are now the “Mormon Tabernacle Quartet”.

Oh my, I have never put on a PBS TV channel so I guess I missed it, however, in the past, I know I could turn on regular network channels and listen.

I saw them here on Baltimore TV. More than once too. Maybe you missed them in your area.

I think they were on PBS. I missed them this year. In years past they were on one of the major networks. There were no Christmas specials like the good old days. Guess they didn't want to offend anybody. I find 2/3 of what I see offensive these days.

I'm glad I'm as old as I am. I don't like the changes in today's world.

My dear, I feel the same way. I remember that the Tabernacle Choir was always on the TV when I was little and that was 40 years ago. I look forward to their beautiful music, however could not find this year.
I am not trying to stir up trouble, just an observation. Just wondering?

I am in Connecticut, I searched channels and could not find. I guess the programming is up to the local affiliates and they decided against showing.

It was beautiful. They had a soloist named Sissel, Irish I believe.
She has a wonderful voice.
My one disappointment was their not singing ‘Oh Holy Night’, my favorite.

Was on YouTube this evening. A beautiful rendition of The Lord's Prayer in Latin. Music, composition, arrangement and video all done by the singer, MaryAnne Silva (known as ysabellabrave):

There are several great MTC videos on YouTube, including many Christmas selections. I watched several and saved them; here is one:

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir~~Infant Holy, Infant Lowly

I also noticed there is MUCH LESS Christmas programming now on regular TV, and nearly none that is religious.
