They should have done it.
Not that that makes him a bad person...
but Too Late!"
Makes sense. He was opposed to the interning of Japanese-Americans after Pearl Harborunlike FDR and Earl Warren.
Where can I get a copy of the list?
Having been drafted myself shortly after the Korean War began, along with about every male acquaintance who had not already enlisted, I have found it odd that, as far as I know, there was no antiwar activity at all during the entire military operations phase of the war. What a contrast to the tens of thousands of ill-groomed loudmouth protesters who came along half a generation later.
I’ve always found it amusing that the worst thing the Left can do to a conservative is accuse him/her of being something that is a large part of the left’s base.
there a few people who dedicate their lives to the job. He was one.
He had a better handle on the communist menace than anyone alive.
If any hanky-pank was going on the agents would have known and they will tell you ‘taint so.
no list but here is the pdf , 789 pages
Documents: The Intelligence Community, 19501955 (state.gov) (pdf)

and this

That may work in the other direction too. Imagine the scandal if a prominent leftist were accused of holding an honest private sector job or passing over a government handout they qualified for.
(Try as I may, I can't imagine either of those actually happening.)
Imagine the scandal if a prominent leftist was caught reading...the Bible. Gasp!!!
This myth is a Big Lie which, sadly, has come to be widely believed--as is the tale of Richard Nixon's claim to have a "secret plan" to end the Vietnam War, which he never made, or the "Christmas Bombing" of Hanoi, which did not take place on Christmas.
we need somebody with Hoover’s guts today. There are way more than 12,000 disloyal traitors out there. Starting with the RATS in congress and the MSM.
“He should have pulled the trigger...”
Absolutely, and the HUAC(House Un-American Affairs Committee)of the House of Representatives should be brought back into business. If we could get a pro-American majority, maybe we could get rid of some these traitors/communists that we have in and out of government.
If that plan was carried out today there wouldn’t be enough dhims left in Congress to make a quorum. There’d be a few RINO’s missing too.
What a delightful Crhistmas present to the USA THAT would be!

Hoover was best at making himself look good - women's clothes and all...
And have their careers and lives ruined. Sure
“And have their careers and lives ruined. Sure”
they are all retired now and will concur with all I have said, except for a very few misfits that probably were bounced out for cause.
The Mob knew he was gay and they blackmailed him with the fact. That’s why he never went after them and even denied their existence. When the otherwise worthless Bobby Kennedy went after them through the Teamsters, Hoover had a fit.
