I’ve always found it amusing that the worst thing the Left can do to a conservative is accuse him/her of being something that is a large part of the left’s base.
That may work in the other direction too. Imagine the scandal if a prominent leftist were accused of holding an honest private sector job or passing over a government handout they qualified for.
(Try as I may, I can't imagine either of those actually happening.)
