What's the real impetus behind the Global Warming Cult? Saving the weather and beautifying the planet? Not quite. Its about human extinction - eliminating what the Left considers the lethal and baneful effects of Man's presence upon the earth.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus

Al Gore - former divinity student - is Global Warming's false prophet.
Bible says to beware of false prophets.
He's already been shot down by some very fine scientists yet he persists in the madness.
Yesterday, there was a post on FR regarding the "ocean is cooling."

I respect nature conservation groups like Ducks Unlimited.
Marxist groups using environmental concern as a tool to damage western civilization do not get my attention. In fact, as a general rule, I scoff at anyone who mentions the environment. Recycling? Pollution? Those concerns mostly go right past me -- because I find that the people who raise those concerns often don't give a rat's patootie about recycling or pollution.

Good, then all those who believe these nutball opinions can just off themselves for the good of the planet. Without them spouting their tripe, we would get another thousand years of good earth. They just need to take one for the team and let the rest of us celebrate it.

After seeing Legend with Will Smith, it is conceivable to me that a mad eco-scientist would unleash a deadly virus to depopulate the earth in order to save it. Obviously the best place to spread a plague would be an international airport. It could be around the world in less than a day.
As the eco-zealots get more hysterical, it would be a good idea to keep an eye in them.

It’s a short leap from Kyoto to gas chambers.
There are plenty of people on the fringes of the global warming movement who are working towards a justification for genocide. It’s just a matter of time before the fringe elements become mainstream.

Not quite. Its about human extinction - eliminating what the Left considers the lethal and baneful effects of Man's presence upon the earth. Not quite. It's about extinction of the Western Culture of individual liberty through voluntary adherence to Judeo-Christian law and tradition. They don't do ANYTHING about Islamist procreation. There's a reason.

Wheee! Now we can set up “Save the Planet, kill yourself” booths at all the malls and anti-war protests and provide the guns and ammunition so these people can act on their own beliefs. SWEEEEET!

If these global warming cult members think killing off the human race to save mother earth is the answer, then I urge them to begin by killing themselves!!! Folks, if you want to see what an example of the danger of these cults, read Clancy’s book: Rainbow 6. It is about a bunch of enviro wackos who invent a killer virus, then are going to release it at the Olympic Games so that people take it back to their home countries all over the world. Meantime, the enviro gang that is doing this are hold up out in Kansas in a protective dome and in Brazil in a dome. Then when the earth dies off with this virus, they come out and live in their view of the earth. Scary stuff. But, now in this world, with billionaires like Soros, and millionaires like Algore and the other left wing Marxists/communists, it is not beyond belief that these pigs could try something like this, to cull the population of the earth. Scary stuff.

A thousand years ago, Viking settlers were growing crops in Greenland, which really was green. And then the glaciers came...I bet there's archaeologists counting the minutes till they melt back enough to have a good dig.

Good Lord don’t give those people guns. They all think Kevorkian’s a great guy, I’m sure they’d be happy to use his device.

You know, sometimes I wonder why we worry about these people screaming they want abortion because it is a RIGHT.
Seems to me the more of them that abort their children, the less we’ll have to deal with their stupid idealism in the future (you know, a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts where the Left keep killing themselves off, sterilizing themselves to prevent hurting the Earth, and eventually the rest of us can finally live in peace and tranquility knowing we did our part to help them off this world)

Fringes are the people who get themselves killed in idiotic attempts to do something to someone else. It's the old "Darwin Award" time for them usually.

It is not too great of a philosophical leap to go from spiking trees, cutting brake lines on logging trucks, slashing the faces of women wearing wearing fur, and imposing “breeding limits” to lining people up in death camps.
The great genocides of the last century had some damm petty jutisfications when you come right down to it: racial purity, needs of the revolution, tribal differences, bringing the world one step closer to “true communism”, that sort of thing. “Saving the Planet” has a pretty lofty and important ring to it, don’t you think?
