Well sure, killing all the people to save the planet would seem rational to an eco-nut. That’s why I think it’s conceivable.

The believers in man made Global Warming are what has come from the death of the Soviet Union. When the Soviet Union collapsed, all ultra-Liberals came to the conclusion that they would never convince the world of the glory of the Workers' Paradise. From that point, they started loathing the existence of humanity. Global Warming and Population Control are simply the ultimate purge.

When President Bush was reelected, they started calling for the secession of the Blue States from the Union. When an organization goes against what the ultra-Liberals want, the ultra-Liberals want to destroy that organization. In the case of man made Global Warming, that organization is mankind. Eventually, they will want to exterminate humanity.

It is interesting that the ones that I know who are true believers in global warming are people who are obsessed with death. They make a point of seeking out acquaintances and neighbors who are ill or dying and attend to them in their last hours, attend funerals with the same relish that most of us apply to wedding or birthdays. They are also technophobes, with no desire to learn about computers or cell phones. They find entertainment and virtue in people who are in the most dire circumstances and blame themselves. It goes well with the self loathing.

Every time I try to point out to them that we live in a dynamic vibrant ecosystem that has yet to even begin to reveal its secrets and mysteries they curse me as naive. Even after I remind them that I am a scientist, I don't play one on TV and I don't stay in Holiday Inns, that I have real reasons for my knowledge that this is all a hoax, I am labeled as a denier!

"You wouldn't think that way if you didn't work for that big pharma company!" as if that make me wrong! The CEO of my company doesn't even know my name much less my opinions on Global Warming!

"Why don't you believe what the rest of your peers believe?" Because "believing" and scientific opinion are 2 separate concept. To understand "believing" ask your pastor, as for my professional opinion, show me the data.

What I have never been able to understand is this...

1. I grew up shallow breathing gray, smoggy, toxic air in the San Fernando Valley circa 1960’s. It was when smog alerts really meant “don’t breathe”.

OBSERVABLE EVIDENCE: Today the air is remarkably cleaner.

2. I remember when Lake Tahoe was a toxic stew. You could not see 12” below the surface.

OBSERVABLE EVIDENCE: Tahoe is a crystal clear lake you can confidently drink from.

3. I remember when you could actually see and smell the exhaust from vehicles.

OBSERVABLE EVIDENCE: Cars don’t stink anymore and emission particles are invisible.

SO WHY THEN... would the earth be getting
warmer from pollution that doesn’t exist anymore?
And why is the the fault of America?

4. I remember when the highways were adrift with garbage.

OBSERVABLE EVIDENCE: Every highway in the U.S. has litter laws and cleanup detachments paid for by tax dollars.

5. I remember when news programs were unrated.

OBSERVABLE EVIDENCE: As soon as TV news had to compete for ratings, the ugliness of graphic, selatious, gratuitous and depraved so called “news” took a foothold and has not let go.

6. I remember when smoking commercials could be found on TV. Then they discovered it caused cancer. Tobacco company’s were forbidden to show anyone smoking on TV, they were brought to trial, fined and forced to label the box to tell you that smoking is dangerous.

OBSERVABLE EVIDENCE: While it is clearly the smoker who chooses risky behavior, people still smoke. Tobacco companies have endured illegal double jeopardy prosecutions for ... causing cancer.
