This is incredibly sad. Fogelberg made some of the best music of the 1970’s.

Much too young.
Gentlemen, listen when your wives nag you to go to the doctor for your annual.
And if you don’t have a wife to nag you, nag yourselves.

“Heart Hotels” and “Believe in Me” were my Fogelberg favorites. Very saddened to hear of his passing.

I was just thinking of him the other day. He and Jackson Browne were the best poet songwriters of their day. RIP Dan, thanks for the outstanding music.

I would encourage everyone not familiar with his work to go out and listen to “Netherlands”, “Souvenirs”, “Captured Angel”, and “The Innocent Age”. We have lost a beautiful soul today.

Gentlemen, listen when your wives nag you to go to the doctor for your annual. Yep... and they can often tell what they need to know with a non-invasive blood test.

I liked his music from the 1980’s.
There was a track he did for the soundtrack for the movie ‘FM’. It was called “There’a Place in the World for a Gambler”. A great song.
From his 1979 album ‘Phoenix’, he did the song “Heart Hotels”. That was a good one too.

I would encourage everyone not familiar with his work to go out and listen to Netherlands, Souvenirs, Captured Angel, and The Innocent Age. We have lost a beautiful soul today.
I second that. They were his finest works.

I grew up in Champaign-Urbana, IL, where Dan used to play with the popular folk-pop band “the Ship”. It was a real shock when he left the Ship to go solo. I am stunned once again, that he died so young. He will be missed by many. RIP.

Saw him live from the 7th row. Unforgettable. You had to overlook the annoying liberalism in his lyrics, but was a huge talent.
