As per WTHR 13, Indianapolis, Julia Carson passed early this morning. No articles found yet.
Democrat Julia Carson was first elected to congress in 1996, succeeding her mentor and patron, Andrew Jacobs Jr., who retired after 30 years in office. Carson had worked in Jacobs' district office in the 1960s, and it was at his urging that she began her political career with a successful run for an Indiana House seat in 1972.
Prayers for her and her family. Politics aside, RIP.
For the Indiana people you ping
Never heard of her, but hoping she is with the Lord.
Sincere condolences to her family. I dealt with cancer myself this year and it sure shook up my family. I’m sorry she didn’t survive - what an especially hard time of the year to lose a dear one.
Rest in peace.
God bless her. She have have been on different side of many issues, but I hope she was on the right side with the Lord.
Prayers up.
You are correct - politics should stop at the water’s edge - and enternity’s edge as well.

My sympathy to her family and friends.
Prayers for her family.
Have just learned my sister’s mother in law has incurable cancer. If anybody reads this and can pray, please pray for this Christian lady and her family. Her daughter is especially devastated. The lady herself is not afraid of death. Her name is Cindy.
No, people in positions of power are judge more harshly.
Don’t know the lady but her voting record is an embarrassment to all who support life. Carson literally held a position of power and with that power perpetuated by her actions by voting mind you, continued the war on the “unwanted unborn”. Not sure where she is at right now but rest assured I believe she is getting a harsh education on the how God values life. Killing for convenience is a sorry trait and Carson actions let this continue.
Prayers for her family.
Your have a good point and I agree but, thankfully, I am not the judge.
Neither do I and on side note this why I would be in constant fear if in a position of power, not just politics, Church leaders have a lot of coals hanging over their heads as well.
