Here in the KCMO area, schools are closed but I haven’t heard of any power outages. It came down mostly as rain thanks to George Bush and global warming.

Damn Global Warming....

Without Global Warming, this ice storm (frozen rain) would have generated 10 feet of beautiful snow!

Thanks for the great pics. Where is your place?
I’m sure you and your neighbors are not worrying about global warming today.

Your photos bring back too many bad memories. I’m glad I moved to Florida.

Awesome photos! Though I have lived in South Florida for 30 years, I spent my youth in the midwest, and I do miss the cold weather. I make it a point to vacation somewhere in the snow, every 2 years or so.

Today, we have temperatures in the low 80's... sigh..

Here in the KCMO area, schools are closed but I haven’t heard of any power outages.

To your west, Kansas State University is closed today during finals week. It is closed due to a mixture of icy roads and power outages. Thankfully, I gave my only final exam yesterday so I don't have to deal with make-up days.

The pictures are beautiful. You have to marvel at the beauty, even though we know how destructive the storms can be. I hope all is well with you and yours and that you have heat and power until the temps warm a bit and provide some relief.

The last time we had storms like that here (in SE Pa.), was back in 1994. We didn’t lose power but the roads were impassable..one storm after another for a few weeks.

We're getting our butts handed to us here in Leavenworth. It's supposed to hit again this evening. A falling branch took out my A/C. Just took the day off to wait for the rest of the tree to come down on my kitchen. What fun. I just drove from one end of Cherokee county, Ks. to the other. They are completely without power.

It’s starting to look like last winter’s ice storm south of Neosho, Mo.
