COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — At least four people were shot outside of a Colorado Springs church on Sunday, but it was not immediately known whether the shootings were related to an earlier shooting about 70 miles away, authorities said.

now hearing that the security guard is a cop - makes me think there may have been intel on threats made against the church. She could even have been undercover.
WOW!! Our God is MIGHTY!! In the midst of what the devil may have planned to bomb a church full of people, GOD INTERVENED!!He spoke to one lady to volunteer her “sharp shooter services” as a security guard and prevented what might have been a much more serious tragedy!

In reading through some of the info in the thread this definitely NOT looking like it was a “Random” act of violence unlike the mall shootings over the last few days, either. So many questions right now... I wonder what type of IEDs these were and why they didn’t go off (perhaps the perp didn’t realize he would be stopped so soon???). I’m also very curious whether there was in fact a second shooter...
Is it just me, or do you too find it rather odd that they would not be releasing the name of the shooter at this point? It seems like even when they don’t announce the names of the victims usually the perp is identified ASAP. I wonder if he had any sort of identification on him at all, or if he is a John Doe at this point...

Probably why I’m not that familiar with them! :) And, thank the L-rd that this is the case. Had this happened in Denver the outcome would’ve been much different I fear and we’d be talking about a much higher number of casualties.
Wouldn’t it have been a bit more efficient for an all-powerful deity to simply cause his gun to misfire as well?

Growing up just South of CO, my folks always insisted that CO had an above average percentage of commies in it—strategically placed there in the center of the country.
I think CO Springs has become a Christian hotbed in part because God directed some Christiam ministries to grow there because of some witches covens etc. proliferating there.
Then there’s the military et al . . .

If there's a connection to the shooting in Arvada they may not release his name yet. ALso, if it's true that they think he's wired for explosives, they may not have gotten close enough. I'd go the "ongoing investigation" route, and not read too much into it.

Probably both, IMO. My guess is that he'll turn out to be a "disaffected youth," of the goth sort.

Oh, I don't know -- perhaps His will was to flush out the idiots at FR.
Meaning its quite likely that there are plenty of police, sherrifs deputies, including reserve cops and deputies, in the congregation. Why pay a private firm for a few hours on the weekend. Oh they'd probably have some permanent security types, but on a 24/7 basis, rather than "just on Wednsday evening, Saturday night and Sunday".

I am so glad your friend and her children are safe. I will be keeping everyone involved in this situation in my prayers... It’s clearly not quite over yet as from what you are saying it doesn’t sound like the area has been secured...
