As Sarah Kreager, 26, tried to sit down on a Baltimore City bus Tuesday, police say, a middle-schooler told her she couldnt. When she attempted to take another seat, a middle-schooler wouldnt let her. Finally, according to police, Kreager just sat down.
She was immediately attacked by nine students three females and six males from Robert Poole Middle School. They punched and kicked her at 2:59 p.m. at the intersection of 33rd Street and Chestnut Avenue, according to Maryland Transit Administration police.
Kreager was dragged off the bus and her boyfriend, Troy Ennis, attempted to get her back on, police said.
She sustained serious injuries and had to be transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, according to a police report.

You’d find few who would accept a death sentence for this beating. Just look at the assault in Jena.
I know a girl who was carjacked by a group of thugs and the gunman was a 14 year old with a cold stare and a sawed off shotgun.
Kids can kill but society has looked down on self-defense for a generation.
Back in those days? She probably would have gone to jail and her assailants wouldnt have been charged.
You lie.
Even if it had been there in the comments section, your post makes it seem as if "shaniqua" was someone present at the incident who was quoted by a reporter, which is rather misleading.

This may HAVE been a racially motivated hate crime.
However,I have seen black kids being mobbed and beat down plenty of times by OTHER BLACK KIDS,so its often really more thuggery than about race.
Thugs have another “game” they play where they walk out into oncoming traffic to cross the street and “punk you out” by making you brake for them. They get a kick out of making you chicken out and they get a laugh at their peers who are too afraid to go all the way across with them.
I’ve seen this several times.
“Kreager was dragged off the bus and her boyfriend, Troy Ennis, attempted to get her back on”
That was sort of stupid unless he enjoyed watching her get beat up.
Wanna bet these students just got “educated” about Rosa Parks, and were attempting to inflict revenge?
No, too much for middle schoolers. But Mace or a Lady's Taser would have been appropriate.
I've heard of this, but never personally witnessed it.
What would prevent someone from slamming on the brakes just a second too late?
Tell that to Medgar Evers.
Oh, wait. You can't.
I hope that was tongue-in-cheek, but you missed my point entirely.
I note that the red-necked, institutionally racist southerners did not beat Rosa Parks to a pulp, even after hundreds of years of hate.
Yet these modern "victims" did exactly that to a woman merely wanting to use a seat, even in the back of the bus, if necessary.
In the future, whenever any idiot mentions "remember Rosa Parks," I will be sure always to append...
"Remember Sarah Kreager!"
It turns out she had good reason not to want the kids next to her.
“You lie.”
You’re kidding, right? Back then whites in the South beat blacks to a pulp and even killed them and got away scott free. You might want to read up on your history a little.
In case you missed it, Parks was arrested simply for sitting down.
Not to worry. Jackson and Sharpton will organize a rally for the victim.
/you know what.
“I hope that was tongue-in-cheek, but you missed my point entirely.”
I did miss your point. However the fact that the rednecks didn’t beat Parks up means little — at least not to all the other blacks who were beaten up by the rednecks.
Mind you, I am NOT defending these kids. They need some serious punishment, and they need it even if it turns out they were provoked in some way (which I seriously doubt). They’re scum.
“No, too much for middle schoolers. But Mace or a Lady’s Taser would have been appropriate.”
Do they make 14 shot semi-automatic tasers? She would have needed one. Or a phaser set on wide field.
Apples and oranges, but beautiful classic racist logic.
Congratulations.
