Could be. I don't listen often enough to be familiar what you are referring to. I guess I heard Savage refer to Rush as "The Golfer" once. Savage has a lot more uninteresting (to me) cr@p than Rush does but I did think this appellation was cute and made the point that Rush spends a lot more time talking about puffery these days. Of course this has been true for years now. (See: John Switzer's goodbye, particularly Reason #2, which dates back to 1995.)

But lots of people criticize Rush, and sometimes he handles it brilliantly as was the case with the Reid letter. The CAIR attack on Savage isn't just an attack on Savage but on all talkers who sometimes say things that are not quite politically correct. Certainly Rush knows this. He has to care about it, and so I'm surprised that he hasn't commented.

I hope Savage destroys them. He has always been one my favorites Talk Radio personality. I remember about 6 years ago when my best friend told me about this radio host who often got as pissed off as I sometimes do. I have been a loyal listener ever since. Unfortunately, my best friend has since passed away and listening to Savage often makes me think of him. He was a rare right-winger from the Northeast, who was about to move South, close to where I grew up in Bama. I always told him that even though he was a Yankee, the fact that he was not a liberal would endear him to his Southern neighbors. I think many Southerners like Savage too, as he has often stated on his show.
