Why has Mike Huckabee turned to something akin to the plague by some on FR?
FR postings | November 28, 2007 | Dane

It's amazing, Mike Huckabee is one of the few politicians who would give the time of day to FR,

Gov. Huckabee's Thank you Letter to FReeper

and yet by some on FR they in mindless hyperbolic posts basically compare him to the plague.

JMO, some FReepers prove the axioms of "fair weather friends" and "no good deed goes unpunished" and also "watch your back", very true.

NathanR: “How is he on the War on Terror? If he isn’t strong on that, he is NOTHING like President Bush.”

His foreign policy experience is virtually nonexistent, so that’s a good question.

Dane, what’s Huckabee’s position on the WOT?

I saw it. Doesn’t change the facts.

The topic is Mike Huckabee. Your scatter shot “focus” is exactly what I was talking about...

Finally... I see Hunter’s name - Don’t count him out. He’s a very good candidate and I’m quickly becoming a convert to voting for him in the primary.

Calm down...I was only giving an example of how my emotions have over-taken some of my conservative values because I am pregnant.

You admit to being emotionally out of control and then tell ME to calm down? I posted a list of facts, that doesn't take emotion. And picking a candidate shouldn't either.

and who raises taxes

Definitely with you on the tax issues, I can't afford to have my taxes raised one iota and I will not vote for anyone who says they are going to do that.

I understand what you are saying...however, I have become so emotional that I am leaning towards legalizing all illegal immigrants because I feel sorry for them. That is how emotional I have become. So for right now, I will hold off on making any major decisions, because I did NOT feel that way before I got pregnant.

I think this is an interesting observation. It could possibly explain certain voting patterns in women - but how does it explain male liberals? ;^)

In addition, Dr. Jerome Corsi reports that “Financial inducements arranged by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee to establish a Mexican consular office in Little Rock may have violated state law, according to an Arkansas attorney.”

I guess people see in Huckabee things that they didn't like about Clinton (Arkansas corruption) and Bush (big government moralism).

Also, piety in politics goes in circles, and it's on the decline now: people just don't react as positively to religion in politics as they once did.

Mike Huckabee seems like a nice enough guy, but not every nice guy can handle high national office.

We could probably agree to disagree about Huck if we were discussing his candidacy face to face, but the Internet encourages people to go overboard with their passions and antipathies.

I now understand how Democrats think, I really do, with total emotion and no reason. I now see why so many women vote Democrat, I don't have any idea about the men....LOL!

If you are for Huck I am against him.

You and Charles Manson make decisions like this easy.

I agree with you. I honestly don’t believe that a majority of voters will be willing to elect an ordained minister. The MSM will be pounding the “separation of church and state” drivel at them nightly.

Very good point. It will be all we hear.

hispanics

Illegal alien criminals.

Why can't you keep this straight?

I know that after having had it pounded into your head so many times that you really must get it.

There is a difference.

Chwissy Mathews just referred to Huckabee as the mascot of the liberal media. It must be true since that is his team, Chwissy should darn well know who the mascot is.
