I guess people see in Huckabee things that they didn't like about Clinton (Arkansas corruption) and Bush (big government moralism).

Also, piety in politics goes in circles, and it's on the decline now: people just don't react as positively to religion in politics as they once did.

Mike Huckabee seems like a nice enough guy, but not every nice guy can handle high national office.

We could probably agree to disagree about Huck if we were discussing his candidacy face to face, but the Internet encourages people to go overboard with their passions and antipathies.

I agree with you. I honestly don’t believe that a majority of voters will be willing to elect an ordained minister. The MSM will be pounding the “separation of church and state” drivel at them nightly.
