Turkey quiche.

1 9-inch pie shell, unbaked
3/4 cup chopped fresh broccoli
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon butter
3/4 cup chopped cooked turkey
1/2 cup shredded Gruyere or Swiss cheese
3 eggs
1 1/4 cups half-and-half
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
PREPARATION:
In a large skillet over medium-low heat, cook broccoli and onion, stirring frequently, until tender. Drain.
Sprinkle broccoli and onion, turkey, and cheese into prepared pie shell.

In a medium bowl, beat eggs slightly; beat in half-and-half, curry powder, and salt.

Pour egg mixture over turkey and broccoli mixture. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 325° continue baking for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Turkey a la King

1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
4 ounces sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cups half-and-half or milk
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 jar (2 ounces) pimiento strips or chopped
2 1/2 cups cooked cubed turkey
dash onion powder
dash pepper
PREPARATION:
Melt butter; add green pepper and mushrooms. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Remove vegetables with slotted spoon. Add flour to butter, cooking and stirring until smooth. Add half-and-half and cream of mushroom soup, stirring until smooth and thickened.
Add turkey, pimiento, mushrooms, green pepper, and seasonings. Taste and adjust seasonings. Serve over hot cooked rice, biscuits, or noodles.
Turkey a la king recipe serves 6.

I bet they are...now’s the time for a good foot rub - or soak - whichever pleases you most. You deserve it!

The one who really deserves it is my FIL. After organizing it myself for 5 yrs, my FIL took over organizing the church thanksgiving dinner this year for the first time. Then on top of that, he's making the family's Thanksgiving dinner we're having tomorrow. He's quite the cook!
