FREEPER CANTEEN HOLIDAY SPECIAL 
It's Thanksgiving. In honor of that, let's all share some of the things you are thankful for. 
Are you thankful for family and friends? 
It's Thanksgiving....do you know where your turkey is? 
Let's try not to eat so much that we fall asleep and miss the football games. 
Then there are those shoppers out there who brave the mad rush of Black Friday.
Are you one of them? 
But, rest assured that when you've had enough and you just need to relax, the Canteen is here. 
When your feet are dragging and you're ready to drop, you can drop into the Canteen, grab something to drink, and turn up the jukebox. If you don't see anything on the jukebox that soothes you, you can make a request to one of the DJs. 
Come and let us give thanks for all that's good. And, don't forget to thank those to whom we owe so much! 
BURP! I'm done. 
Stay safe. Come back soon. Prayers for safekeeping of our military.

I’m from Maryland, but no near Chesapeake Bay.
A couple of weeks ago, my mom had her annual fish fry. Her and my dad fish during the summer months and save up the fish (smallish perch mostly). Then during the beginning of the fall she cooks them up along with soft shell crabs (if there were able to catch enough), crab casserole, and all the side dishes. This year someone brought a bushel of oysters. They steamed them up. I'm not much on steamed oysters, either. But, they were popular with a lot of folks.
Now, had there been a bushel of crabs, I'd have been there most of the time!
She invites the whole family. It's gotten so popular that my brother's FIL and BIL came this year. And, a childhood friend of the family showed up.

Just did Dollar Tree yesterday. Got boxes now...I’ll start tomorrow stuffing stockings and working on paperwork. Everything must be mailed by next Friday. I’m not taking anything home. Packages are getting to the sandbox in less than 10 days!! Christmas may be longer, but WOW! How about you...organized and ready?

Another Marylander that has the great Fruits of the Sea outside his doorstep. Take advantage of 'em, Doc! Don't know if they'll make you live longer but you'll sure live better.
I see you were I Corps at the same time I was there. Red dust and hard times past.

hat young lady was seriously messed up, I’m glad he didn’t try for a second date with her. She made the Goth kids look pure and wholesome.See? Another thing to be thankful for!

Rice Chili Verde
3 cups cooked rice,
1/2lb Monterrey jack cheese.. cut in strips..(I used shredded this time)
one pint sour cream
1 small can chopped green chiles
1/4 c parmesan cheese
Mix sour cream, green chilies..1/4 t salt to taste
Layer first rice,sour cream mixture, layer of jack cheese..repeat.. ending with rice in about a one and a half quart baking dish.
Bake about 25 minutes in 350 degree oven.
Sprinkle top w parmesan cheese..return to oven about 5 minutes or until cheese melts.................................
Scoop way down to get layers when serving
