60 Minutes piece by Bob Simon. Fifteen year old Canadian "refugee" captured in Afghanistan waging jihad. His father has been killed, a brother paralyzed, fighting against Americans.

Notice his father was waging war against America in Afghanistan before 9/11.

I think I saw a piece of this on 60 Minutes, or at least it was a similar story. His mother wants him to come home. Blah, blah, blah. Sorry, no sympathy here either.

They ran right back to Canada, didn't they? Wheelchairs don't fare that well in the backwaters of Afghanistan, I guess. Mom has gone liberal and stopped covering her lower face, and was decidedly uncomfortable with her son's lust for his 72 virgins. I think she wishes there was more Allah in her son's version of paradise.

Another 60 Minutes bleeding heart tale to keep the liberals hyperactive behavior against America going.

Yesterday, Washington Post and 60 Minutes worked in co-operation to produce a piece about convicted felons who may be found not guilty due to a faulty FBI test on bullets. -->carefully not mentioning the fact that the faulty test doesn't necessarily excuse these other evidence against the convicted felons.

In this country, we’ve tried “children” as adults in capital cases. So what’s so different here? If anything, we should try more children as adults. Seems to me that once you pick up a weapon and use it against someone, you are not a child anymore. The same holds true for terrorists.

Travis, I think you have your facts wrong. Three brothers appeared in the piece. Omar Khadr, is in Gitmo faces a life sentence. The older brother actually was turned by the US and worked for the CIA. The youngest brother was too young to carry a gun, I think.

Don't get me wrong, I don't give two hoots for this terrorist family. Blame our previous (Liberal) government and Prime Minister. The presend (Conservative) government is mum on the case, as they are on several cases of Canadians facing a stiff penalty in the US. I think their attitude is that Omar is going to get what he deserves. Every Canadian I know want this whole family turfed as soon as possible. They are leeches and terrorists to a man and woman. You have Omar, hang him tomorrow and save the taxpayers some money.

By the way, Lindh got 20 years, not life.
