CNN's six "undecided voters" were all Democratic operatives

UPDATES BELOW - CNN hits bottom and digs: All six debate questioners appear to be Democratic Party operatives. So much for "ordinary people, undecided voters". To paraphrase Junior Soprano, CNN is so far up the DNC's hind end, Howard Dean can taste hair gel.

In a nutshell, CNN's six "undecided voters" were:

A Democratic Party bigwig
An antiwar activist
A Union official
An Islamic leader
A Harry Reid staffer
A radical Chicano separatist

Wow. This looks "rather" like a scandal. Hot Air:

...You’d think the network’s audience might want to know who among the questioners has had a paid, formal relationship with the party.

...I went back to the beginning of the debate to see how Blitzer introduced the format. Did he offer any details on who’d be doing the questioning? Why, yes. After mentioning that the debate was sponsored by the national party — something likely understood by most viewers as a mere formality — he described them as “ordinary people, undecided voters.” Note: not even “undecided Democrats.” Just undecided.

Word on the street is that Hillary's staffers are extremely pleased with CNN's Wolf Blitzer for his softball questioning of Sen. Clinton during Thursday's Las Vegas debate. Blitzer "was outstanding, and did not gang up like Russert did in Philadelphia. He avoided personal attacks, remained professional and ran the best debate so far."

Who were the questioners upon whom Blitzer called? According to CNN, they were "ordinary people, undecided voters.” Like these folks:

Plant #1: LaShannon Spencer, whom Blitzer introduced as an "undecided voter", was tagged by Dan Riehl: in truth, she served as the political director of the Democratic Party of Arkansas.

Plant #2: Khalid Kahn, who expressed concern about profiling and the Patriot Act, asked "[m]y question is that -- our civil liberties have been taken away from us. What are you going to do to protect Americans from this kind of harassment?" Classical Values notes that Mr. Kahn is the president of the Islamic Society of Nevada, who has hosted conferences like this one (with guest speakers like Muzzamil Siddiqi). In fact, Kahn in no stranger to CNN, appearing on a show called Keeping the Faith in Sin City.

Plant #3: Suzanne Jackson -- mother of a three-term Iraq war veteran -- is aso a well-known antiwar activist. She appeared in the Las Vegas Review Journal protesting -- with a poor monkey, no less -- outside of Harry Reid's office in May.

Plant #4: Maria Luisa -- the UNLV student who asked Hillary Clinton whether she preferred "diamonds or pearls" -- wrote that CNN forced her to ask the "frilly" question instead of a pre-approved query regarding the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste facility.

Update: Andy writes to point out the eerie similarities between Maria L. Parra-Sandoval and "Maria Luisa." Regarding Ms. Parra-Sandoval, the UNLV website states:

This spring she will serve as the political communications intern for Senator Harry Reid in Washington, D.C. Currently a junior at UNLV, Maria is... is an immigrant on a quest to become a United States citizen.

In other words, she's not even eligible to vote, unless the Democrats changed the rules when I wasn't looking.

Laura was on Fox with the Friends this morning...she is indeed filling in for Bill, who is in Afghanistan visiting the troops. When asked about the Diamonds-Pearls planted question, Laura acted surprised as if she hadn’t heard. She also said that Obama needs to push that Mrs. Clinton is really “Bush-Lite.” Huh?

Say what!?!

So, Russert just became persona non-grata at any debate with Republicans involved.

This means CNN is nothing short of an infomercial for the Democratic Party.

I kid you not. Laura said that on the war, immigration and trade issues (perhaps?) Mrs. Clinton was just like Bush.

Is there anything, anything at all connected with the clintons that is decent, honest, not sleazy and above board?

WHAT? You mean the "Smartest Woman Alive" is too stupid to think on the fly and answer questions intelligently? You're saying her staff planted questioners (again) and fed them questions...and had the debate monitor feed her softball questions because she was not prepared to answer real substantive questions?

I'm shocked.............SHOCKED I tell you! SHOCKED that this woman wants to be POTUS, but cannot even take unscripted questioning...and people will vote for her.

“This is huge! This means CNN is nothing short of an infomercial for the Democratic Party.”

We think it is and have known forever that CNN is really the Clinton News Network. But CNN will certainly not admit that they manipulated the debate! Notice the email I sent to CNN and the reply received. :)LOL!

Comments:
I watched the CNN Democrat debate and could tell that you did a great job selecting people in the audience to ask questions of the candidates. I know I could help you during the upcoming Republican debate here in St. Petersburg on the 28th. If you were to allow me to be in the audience, I would certainly ask any question you might want me to ask a candidate.

Sincerely,
Thank you for contacting CNN.

CNN does not choose the audience for the debates. You can contact The Republican Party of Florida for more information.

Thanks again for your interest and keep your browser pointed to www.cnn.com”

I’m reporting them to the FEC as advertisement for the Democrats. Thanks for the e-mail address.

“Here’s a prediction. In a few years, Maria Luisa is going to be married to a Republican...”

who goes by the handle “Steely Tom” on Free Republic? :)

Most likely, if she’s a true Democrat, she’ll marry some other “enlightened” Democrat spineless male and wonder why he’s not a man.

No way. I'm already married, and my wife is even cuter than Maria.

But Maria's cute enough. She's comfortably over the line, in my opinion.

Here's why I make my prediction:

First, she's not a "true Democrat," as you put it. We know that for sure, because she wasn't willing to sublimnate her sense of honesty for an ideology. By going to the press and telling what happened, she demonstrated that she has a sense of honor and fair play. She made it out of her teens with this; chances are very slim she'll ever give it up now.

Second, I know something about Republican men. They're more persuasive than Democrat girly men.

Third, I know something about women. Women as pretty as Maria know it. They know how to bargain with it, and they know how to hold out for a good deal. Republican men are a better deal. And yes, I mean money wise.

And when it comes to making money to support a nice family lifestyle for Maria, which party do you think the winner's going to belong to?

Same old thing. Remember the Pony Tail guy? Since the Bush Gore debates, there has been a move toward townhall debates, where having plants has been part of the Democrat playbook.

This is the only debate that I watched and I was extremely disappointed in the easy way that hillary was treated. Shades of things to come.
