WASHINGTON (AP) - Rudy Giuliani assured a conservative legal group Friday that if elected president he would appoint federal judges who adhere to their principles. He also praised a judge who declared the capital city's gun ban unconstitutional and ridiculed efforts to eliminate the words "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance.
In a speech marking the 25th anniversary of the Federalist Society, Giuliani spelled out a conservative legal agenda in which he cited Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito and Chief Justice John Roberts as models for the judges he would appoint to the federal bench.
He contended that Democrats Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama or John Edwards, as president, would select judges who were "activists and try to legislate social policy."
"We're seeking to find judges who understand the very, very important concept that judges exist to interpret the law, not to invent the law," he said.

Yeah, right, Rudy. You'd probably put Hillary on SCOTUS, the strong and honest Conservative YOU are.
That might be her secret wish anyway.
Along with her husband serving in the U.N. as Screwtape General.

Rudy is the anti-jihad.
He will win against those heathen hordes and rid the planet of their political philosophy.
He sees this issue as clear as GW Bush, and better than any other candidate.

“Rudy made seventy-five judicial appointments. Six of those were Republican.
At least fifty were democrats. I dont know what the other nineteen were.”
I had heard that his record on appointments was not good, but have not researched it. Would not vote for Rudy for many reasons, not just his record concerning judicial appointments.

Why not trust a guy who says he will do the right thing (appoint strict constructionists) even though he genuinely thinks it’s the wrong thing.
I can support a guy who basically says that he will do what he thinks is wrong...can’t you?

He couldn’t even stand up to an evil group of child molestors, instead he marched in a parade with them.

This like some science fiction nightmare, there is no reason for conservative voters that know all about Rudy and his politics to become zombies.
Do you guys really think that you are going to convert this audience of die hard, dedicated conservatives?
And by the way, as a freeper why aren’t you guys on our side?

If it convinces some stray Hillary enablers on this board, I think he should. You know damn well he'd never do that because he doesn't plan on expending any political capital trying to get such judges nominated.

Why not trust a guy who says he will do the right thing (appoint strict constructionists) even though he genuinely thinks its the wrong thing. Because he has a liberal record and is thrice-married adulterer that paraded his mistress around New York while alienating his wife and kids? And, because he associates with pedophile priests and crooks like Bernard Kerik?

I don’t believe that Rudy sees the War on Terrorism any better than the other candidates. That being said, even if he does see the war as Bush does, look at the downside of having Bush for a President.
I’ll be damned if I want another person of the same relative mindset to serve for another eight years.
For this guy, RINOs need not apply. Moving slowly left winds up getting us to the same destination as the democrats will, only slower.
It’s time to take a right turn on the road to our future.

You're wasting your time arguing with these Rudy-haters, they are beyond reason. They are hoping secretly that Hillary will win. They want a Hillary Clinton Presidency because they are fools enough to believe that it will help the Conservative cause.
It's no different than arguing with Liberals, all emotion, no reason.
