Should we stop immigration by Muslims? It seems quite self evident that there are too many cultural conflicts between Islam and our way of life. Yet, our immigration system keeps allowing large numbers of Muslims to immigrate into our country causing all kinds of cultural frictions and safety concerns. The more Muslims there are in the country the more jihadists there will be in our midst, the more travel between us and Islamic countries and the harder it will be to find the jihadists among the every increasing Muslim population.
“No, and what do you propose we do with the 4 to 6 million Muslims who already live here?”
Where do you get your numbers? Sounds like you subscribe to CAIR’s weekly newsletter. The best estimates show around 2 million.
Our Declaration of Independence also says we have the right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”.
Look in any Muslim country, and tell me if that is the case.
NYC alone has several hundred thousand, many of them born here.

Uhhhh....yes!
(How pathetic that we should even have to ask this question.)
We don’t need any more Moslem immigrants. We’ve got the Nation of Islam. We can grow our own.
Until there is a major reformation... my answer is YES.
We'd still run into some problems but it would weed out the riff-raff.
And really, I don't believe the majority of the problem we face now is legal immigration but illegal immigration.
We may still have problems with the legal method, but everything is lost, IMHO, if we don't stop the illegal invasion first.
As far as stopping Muslims? That would have put a real damper on my buddy's love life. Catholic dating a moderate Muslim lady who's one of the nicer people I've met in the past 2 years. She goes to Church with him on a regular basis.
She's not my enemy. Radical Islam is...
Yes! and return the ones we have accepted to date. And put out the homegrown ones, too.
Mark me down for YES!
Absolutely.
Stop it.
Though we can’t given a lot of givens.
Certainly stop it unless they sign a pledge renouncing violence.
I’d even go so far as to have them sign a document renouncing every verse in the Koran that encourages violence, before allowing them in.
But we won’t do that either.
we have enough to last us a good long while.
INDEED.
Doesnt matter if we stop them from immigrating - the ones here can BREED!
TOO TRUE!
Though there is a solution for that . . . but then we have a Constitution etc.
Perhaps we could allow more castrated in AFTER all those here submitted to castration first?
IMHO FR has totally jumped the shark. It’s become a radical right hate site. There are 5-6 million (not 2 as someone lying says)... What do you do with them?... How do you restrict based on religion, really, even if that religion is detestable, which in our view it is??? How can 98 pc of the comments here be so racist? Jeez, anyone on the outside looking in will laugh at us... Forget about any political clout we ever had, this is pathetic... Where are the level-headed, sensible FReepers??? Oh yeah, most got purged just for saying positive things about Rudy, leaving a huge number of radical loonies... JMHO
Loonies? I guess you must love us loonies—you’re still here aren’t you?
Look at all the problems Europe is having with them. That should be enough to show we don’t want them here.
“Maybe we need to ask the question, Do we need more muslims in America? I would probably say, at this point, we have enough to last us a good long while.”
I AGREE!!!
Yes, by God, yes. We’re just importaing problems, present and future. They cannot assimilate and will always produce a significant share of their numbers are loco jihadists. They are a fifth column working to destroy America’s republican form of government and its Judeo-Christian culture.
Last time I checked we do not prosecute or outlaw atheists for their lack of religion. Enough people in authority have already run amok in prohibiting the free excercise thereof. What we need to outlaw is seditious attempts to supplant our freedoms with slavery. Certain muslims are not alone in their attempts to do this. We've elected some to Congress.
