“And he is offering them ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in personal benefits from his presidency.. only a return to the Constitution. He carries one in his pocket.”

Sorry, I am definitely NOT a Paul supporter.

I do not think he really understands the world we have (as it is, not as we wish it was) nor does he, in my view, fully comprehend the core reasons behind why the WOT (war of terror) has been brought on us.

I would give his supporters (a lot of independent anti-war sentimentalists among them) the same advice I gave the “pro-life conservatives” in my original comment, modified appropriately for them.

Which would be, that Ron Paul is not likely to be the GOP candidate and if that is going to set them against the GOP in November 2008, then shame on them - we might as well call them “Perot” supporters, because the affect will be the same - two four year terms of slick willy.

And Troops on the border is unconstitutional.

Really? Prove it. I'm hearing Ron Paul supporters saying he wants to bring the troops home and put them on the border. But then, I could discount that since most of his supporters really know very little about Ron Paul.

As a 64 year old grandfather I would have to support the use of seniority whenever possible.

What part of, It is Americans that are fighting islamic terrorists not a policy paper or a group called neo-conservatives, that you don’t understand?

Our boots on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan believe in what they are doing and “we” support them and this war against islamic terror.

Then there are the cut and runners like Ron Paul and his ilk. They and I guess you do not stand with our military or us. You think we are the problem. If we would just be kinder and gentler to the islamic terrorists they would leave us alone. Well that makes you and Ron Paul and the rest of you dangerous. Your ilk are the problem, the internal problem along with Kerry and Kennedy and Muthra and ........you get the picture. We don’t believe your hooey and we don’t want anyone who thinks like you in the WH. Get it? We are in this to win and “we” are not the enemy they are and you are, if you aid them in their war against us.

“Spam monkeys” okay.. like I have said many times before. I don’t know what I would have done without Freepers during the 2000 election debacle in Florida. To be treated as an enemy is hurtful. I see that is of on consequences here.

Well, I hope what you said to give me comfort still holds true.

I know I would love to leave my kids and grandkids a semblance of the great childhood I had in a free country, feeling some security, being patriotic, and able to stick up for a free and sovereign US. I can think back to those wonderful years when going out to play I could smell the warmth on a beautiful day and not have to fear the constant threats pushed at us everyday.

Seems like that is too much to ask for anymore. The leftists, Islamists, and globalists, threaten all of that.

That's another point the Paul supporters ignore. He's TOO old!

It’s simple. If you don’t want to be treated like an enemy, don’t align yourself with the enemy. Ron Paul has done just that. You’re spamming us with enemy propaganda. This must stop.

I thought it was posse comatatus (not sure of spelling) that outlawed it. Paul is strong on the border defense. He does believe in getting rid of the babies born here are auto citizens. And he doesn’t think yours and my tax dollars should be spent in Germany protecting Europe or in Japan or in Korea or any of the 150 or so nations where we pay to keep troops. We need them here to protect us. Seoul Korea was better than Washington DC on 9/11

Making statements with nothing to back it up, like “putting troops on the border is unconstitutional,” without citing the portion of the Constitution or the subsequent Amendments that prohibits this is spamming.

Posse Comitatus is a federal LAW dating from the end of Reconstruction, it IS NOT part of the Constitution.

MAXIMUS: “5,000 of my men are out there in the freezing mud. 3,000 are cleaved and bloodied. 2,000 will never leave this place. I will not believe they fought and died for nothing.”

AURELIUS: “And what would you believe?”

MAXIMUS: “They fought for you and for Rome.”

AURELIUS: “And what is Rome, Maximus?”

MAXIMUS: “I have seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark. Rome is the light.”

AURELIUS: “Yet you have never been there. You have not seen what it has become. I am dying, Maximus. When a man sees his end he wants to know that there has been some purpose to his life. How will the world speak my name in years to come? Will I be known as the philosopher, the warrior, the tyrant? Or will I be remembered as the Emperor who gave Rome back her true self? There was once a dream that was Rome, you could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile. And I fear that it will not survive the winter.”

Now that was only a movie. But changes here at home concerning our constitutional rights are real. And it scares me.

Ron Paul is a snake oil salesman and you have bought his elixir. We are sorry you are foolish enough to have bought into his “I am the savior of America” bs, but he is dangerous and so are those who support him because they support him. That includes you. May you walk up and smell the danger of this snake, but if not don’t look for support here.

Where is Ron Paul on this poll? ... pro-life and has always been pro-life!

He’s pro death when it comes to defending this nation...that’s why he’s not there.

We made that mistake once in Korea.

We withdrew out troops following WWII. (We kept a minimal force there)

North Korea invaded and the South Koreans were not prepared for it.

We then had to go in and retake 75% of South Korea, we then moved into the North and were stopped by the Chinese troops that came to their rescue.

Seoul and Baghdad do not compare to Philadelphia on the ground. Philly is dangerous.

The entire U.S. is better protected today than it was prior to 9/11.

We learned from past mistakes.
