:::FreeRepublic's Threat Matrix:::
U.S. to Offer Turkey Help on PKK

The U.S. is to offer Turkey a package of measures to dissuade Ankara from mounting a large-scale military incursion into Iraq to attack PKK Kurdish guerrillas, who have killed scores of Turkish soldiers in recent weeks.

Ahead of a meeting in Washington on Monday between President George W. Bush and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s prime minister, U.S. officials said Ankara would have to get concrete American help to combat the PKK, which has bases in northern Iraq from where it frequently launches attacks into Turkey.

“Erdogan has to go back with the belief that for whatever reason, the U.S. is serious” about tackling Turkey’s concerns regarding the PKK, said Matthew Bryza, deputy assistant secretary at the U.S. state department responsible for Turkey policy. Full story...

My Opinion:

BOYCOTT CHINA.
BOYCOTT CHINA’s products and services.
BOYCOTT the 2008 Olympics in CHINA.

Hearily agreed. China is NOT our friend. Nothing from China enters my home if I can help it.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “KASUR, LAHORE, PAKISTAN (ANS) — A Pakistani Christian man has received a letter threatening him “to convert to Islam or die” after he dared sheltering his cousin Martha Bibi, a woman, who was accused of blasphemy in January and later freed on bail in May of this year.”

Far too many Christians being killed, imprisoned and tortured by the "religion of peace." There is complete silence by alleged rights activists who clearly are unwilling to call out in protest of Islamists committing these attrocities.

Islamic Academy under attack

Snippets: Its most virulent critics have dubbed it "Terror High" and 12 U.S. senators and a federal commission want to shut it down.

Most recently, the religious freedom commission — an independent federal agency created by Congress — issued its report, saying it was rebuffed in its efforts to obtain textbooks to verify claims they had been reformed. The commission recommended that the academy be shut down until it could review the textbooks to ensure they do not promote intolerance.

Since the commission's report, the academy has given copies of its books to the Saudi embassy, which then provided them to the State Department. The commission is waiting to get the books from the State Department.

AQ Kingpin - I trained 9/11 Hijackers

He was travelling under the Turkish name Erkan Ozer – one of his 16 false identities – when he was arrested in the southeastern town of Diyarbakir in August 2005. His downfall was as a result of a nighttime explosion that caused a fire in his apartment a week earlier. When fire-fighters reached the blaze they found a do-it-yourself bomb factory with vats of hydrogen, bags of aluminium powder and 6kg of plastic explosives.

Sakka had been planning to sink Israeli cruise ships off the Turkish coast using motorised dinghies. Despite having plastic surgery to disguise his face, he was easily identified by the Turkish authorities.

The Sakka article is very interesting. Shows the depth of Turkish involvement in jihadi operations. Thanks MamaD.

Holiday meal sickens workers

Snippets: The goodwill backfired Thursday when a Thanksgiving spread that United had bought for thousands of workers at O'Hare International Airport turned out to have dangerous turkey that made at least five employees sick to their stomachs.

United's operation was not disrupted, she said. The food was not for flight crew but for mechanics, baggage handlers and other airport employees. Management gave them all $10 gift certificates for the airports' food vendors to make up for the loss of the meal.

Tortilla recall after Wisconsin students sickened

Snippets: Del Rey Tortilleria, Inc. is recalling several products after health officials in Wisconsin suspected a link between flour tortillas and an outbreak of illness at three schools.

The Chicago-based company told the state of Wisconsin it will voluntarily recall the products as a precaution while the Food and Drug Administration continues to investigate. But Marcy Toledo, Del Rey's general manager, said the company is still not sure its products caused the reported symptoms.

The products in question were distributed nationwide through food distributors and grocery stores. Del Rey has not specified states involved in the recall, beyond Illinois and Wisconsin. Consumers should immediately return any product that is subject to this recall to the store where they purchased it for a full refund or replacement.

Yes, generally speaking, the main-stream media doesn’t cover the threats, persecution and murders of the Christians around the world.

I suppose if they did, it would give the general population in the USA a
clearer, more concise view of the global jihad.

Yes, generally speaking, the main-stream media doesn’t cover the threats, persecution and murders of the Christians around the world.

But let one Islamist be so much as questioned, the media goes into a PC frenzy, despite continued Islamic-related terrorist events and threats by noted Islamic clerics and jihadis in a post-9/11 world against America and Americans.

Meanwhile innocent Christians are slaughtered and if we didn't know better, we'd swear this could happen only in much more primitive times.

China closes unlicensed newspaper, arrests staff

Chinese police have closed an unlicensed newspaper and arrested two of its staff for allegedly reporting false news, state media said on Sunday.

Chiina recycling used condoms as cheap hair bands

Used condoms are being recycled into hair bands in southern China, threatening to spread sexually-transmittable diseases they were originally meant to prevent, state media reported Tuesday.

In the latest example of potentially harmful Chinese-made products, rubber hair bands have been found in local markets and beauty salons in Dongguan and Guangzhou cities in southern Guangdong province, China Daily newspaper said.

China activist farmer arrested for advocating "no Olympics, but human rights

Snippets: According to an insider from the Jiamusi PSB, Yang, represented 40,000 landless peasants in asking for the return of their lands, and advocated “No Olympics, but Human Rights.” The advocacy made the high level officials of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) panic. The insider said the impact was huge. So an order to arrest Yang was issued by the Ministry of Public Security, directed by the Heilongjiang Provincial Public Security Department, and the Jiamusi and Fujin PSBs arrested him.

......After the public security officer asked the reporter’s name, he said, “Why don’t you investigate in China. Are you controlled remotely from overseas? Who knows what organization you are in and who funds you. Does the U.S. government give you money and you work for it?” Then the official hung up the phone. No one answered the phone when the reporter called again.
