Chuck Norris Endorses Mike Huckabee for President
fox ^ | 10/22/2007 | CN

Chuck Norris does not vote for president of the United States. He gives the voting machine a swift roundhouse kick and Mike Huckabee wins.

So the joke would read after the martial arts star announced his endorsement Sunday for the former Arkansas governor.

"Though (Rudy) Giuliani might be savvy enough to lead people, Fred Thompson wise enough to wade through the tides of politics, (John) McCain tough enough to fight terrorism, and (Mitt) Romney business-minded enough to grow our economy, I believe the only one who has all of the characteristics to lead America forward into the future is ex-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee," Chuck Norris wrote in a commentary posted on WorldNetDaily.com.

Click here to read Chuck Norris’ commentary.

Norris listed Huckabee’s upbringing, family values and the fact that he’s an avid outdoorsman as reasons for backing.

“Huckabee has seen the light, on national sovereignty and immigration.”

Should be:
Huckabee has put his finger in the wind, on national sovereignty and immigration.

Was the $5.25 per day tax on all Nursing Home Patients not on Medicare, the part that cinched him being your pick?

Endorsements are a really ineffective way to get more support for any candidate

My Grandfather, an old WWII Marine veteran, is endorsing Ike. I might follow his endorsement..

Have you looked at Duncan Hunter he is every bit as socially conservative as Huckabee and he is more conservative on immigration and taxes. You can check out his positions on the issues at www.gohunter08.com

I wonder (not saying you do this), but I wonder how many of you that say that about Huckabee are Romney supporters- that bears thinking about..

Not a Romney supporter...but am an Arkansan who has previously cast his last vote for Huckabee.

Your post also is a logical fallacy....Romney supporters speak ill of Huckabee therefore all who speak ill of Huckabee are Romney supporters. One of the more basic logical fallacies.

As great as he is on most social issues, he has zero credibility on fiscal issues, border security, and limited government.

Then, who in your opinin does? From where I'm sitting I don't see any candidate with credibility on any of those issues. Guliani? Nope. Romney? No way. McCain? He and the Senate have failed the U.S. on all those issues. Run Paul? He's a crazy loon and doesn't even know that we face a real enemy. Whose left? Tancredo? Hunter? Thompson? Where are there credentials in any of those areas? Where were Bush's credentials? Clinton's? Bush the father is the last President who could boast experience in security matters, but none on fiscal issues or limited government. Reagan? He was Governor of California, but not too many people even knew what experience he brought to the White House based on those credentials in 1980. So, why is Huckabee being held to a higher standard than any of these others? Just so you know, I've not yet decided upon who I will vote for. But, I'm not going to base my decision soley on the basis of the person's credentials as no one running, Republican or Democrat, can boast all the credentials that any person or group would demand. I'm looking for someone who can stand up and lead, not on what they might have done in the past. So far I have not heard leadership from anyone.

Yes. That would be one vote.

I actually like Chuck’s movies (great popcorn flicks), but I don’t take voting advice from actors.

And he’s running? If he is, does he have a viable candidacy? What are his credentials? Ambassador? What state did he govern? What elected office has he held? Yes, I like Alan Keyes. No, he’s not a serious candidate.

He’s fought with courage and self-sacrifice for everything I believe in for decades.

That’s good enough for me.

The rest of these guys haven’t.

In fact, often I’ve seen most of them fighting for the other side at critical moments.

Yes, Keyes has done that. But, again I don’t see him running.

I’ve never watched a Texas Ranger episode.

Nothing against Norris. I just haven’t.
