But, will it stop Romney? I know some who have issues with his former stand on the subject...

Romney has taken an interesting tack. Rather than lying or obfuscating about past positions, he admits he was once wrong on the issue.

Mel Martinez resigns——good.
Pro-lifers WON’T VOTE for Rooty-—excellent.

That’s probably the best thing to do. And, in all fairness, since he handled it that way I can see myself voting for him if he’s our candidate.
I grew up with parents who thought they were very progressive, with mom thinking NOW was the hottest thing going. So, I thought it wasn’t my right to tell another woman not to abort, regardless of my feeling that it’s wrong.
I am SO over that!

"But, will it stop Romney? I know some who have issues with his former stand on the subject..." As Rick Santorum just finished saying, "Let the record speak for itself." It will be entirely up to Romney to convince the pro-lifers that he is truly against abortion. I personally think he has straddled the fence on too many issues to convince them.

This is not rocket science.
I have my problems with Randy Terry, but I liked what he said about having Hillary elected if pro lifers don’t vote for pro abort Republican. He said something like, “So be it.”
If the pro abort New Yorker is nominated, they will not only have assured never losing the title of Stupid Party; they pretty much sign their own death warrant as a political force.

***interesting expression. Reminds me of UIN republicans, who will vote for anyone with an R in front of the name, regardless of what it means.
