Romney has taken an interesting tack. Rather than lying or obfuscating about past positions, he admits he was once wrong on the issue.
As Rick Santorum just finished saying, "Let the record speak for itself." It will be entirely up to Romney to convince the pro-lifers that he is truly against abortion. I personally think he has straddled the fence on too many issues to convince them.
A person can change their view of being pro-choice to pro-life in an instant. I know, because I did. (Thank God!)
