WASHINGTON A House vote to label the century-old deaths of Armenians as genocide was in jeopardy Tuesday after several Democrats withdrew their support and sounded alarms it could cripple U.S. relations with Turkey.
The loss of support is a major setback to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic leaders on Capitol Hill, who have fiercely defended the resolution to Republicans and the Bush administration as a moral imperative in condemning the World War I-era killings of up to 1.5 million Armenians by Ottoman Turks.

Another defeat for Pelosi. Excellent. Does this mean we can finally nuke Cher?

Excellent news. This was an outrageous stunt even for Pelosi.

What do you mean “Do Nothing”? They damaged the foreign policy/security interests of the United States and NATO, AND they get to withdraw the resolution before the mainstream media even notices. Ugh. Bush should have been front and center and all over the Democrats on this.

It seems the plan to remove Turkey as a supply route failed for Al Queda....oops...the Democrats.
Maybe there is some patriotism left in the Blue Dogs. There certainly isn’t any in the party leadership. In fact, just read the tag line.

Excuse me, but the Dims have brought this up 3 times now. The first time was back in the early 1990s. Then, with Slick Willie’s first administration, WHILE the Marxists still controlled the Congress BEFORE the Republicans won in 94. THE ONE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION TO THE WHINING MARXISTS: Why did you not put it in and pass it during Slick’s administration??????? If it was SOOOOOOOOO FREAKING important, why did you not pass it the first day Slick got into the White House and while you still controlled the Congress???? WHY NANCY???? WHY NOT THEN???

You nailed it. Did the apologies or charge of vote/support come after Turkey massed it’s troops?

Just what I'd expect from this buffoonish Congress led by the Speaker-of-the-Clowns. She's made a real mess of things. I wonder if Congress' approval ratings could actually go into negative numbers.

Oh well. Nancy can always try an apology and a bill to jam reparations for the Civil War through before the elections.
The stupid woman damaged relations with Turkey anyway.
Over the centuries, the country has survived some abysmally idiotic, moronic, stupid, incompetent Congressional knuckleheads, but never so many at one time!

Pelosi fails again. Great news!
This resolution should have been passed ages ago, it’s a shame we have to deal with it now and balance it with our wartime relations with Turkey.
