I have wondered if Hollywood is getting even with America for the past...

Out of curiosity I checked with in Net Flicks to see if they had any. I found all of them listed except for Tightrope.
I remember seeing a film about some people trying to sneak out of a red country only to have their guide betray them.Perhaps somebody remembers the name of that one.

Wow! Woman On Pier 13 (starring the great John Agar), Sam Fuller and anticommunism all in one article. This psychotronic film fan is jumping for joy!

I saw Man On a String on TCM in August. I thought that Ernie Borgnine was great in it!

When I saw this post, I was wondering if the author would include Trial. I enjoyed that movie, and how it depicts the left's exploitation of "victims". Also, it even dwells into the left's racism, as the black judge over seeing the trial is accused of being an Uncle Tom for daring to have an independent mind. Good flick...

How about a series of nicely-packaged DVDs with commentary by, say, Michael Medved, and historical background from figures such as Arthur Herman or Harvey Klehr. Or a boxed set suitable for giving to high school and college students or anyone else never exposed to the realities of communism. Great idea. . .

The sad thing is that, if and when film appreciation classes even cover these, they do so to show, “the anti-communist hysteria that gripped that nation,” when we were a “less sophisticated” nation.

I have a DVD of a movie called Big Jim McClean starring John Wayne (my FAVORITE actor and a GREAT American). It co-starred James Arness. It was done around 1952, I think. The plot was that Wayne and Arness were FBI agents sent to the territory of Hawaii to bust up a Communist gang. It had some great footage of the House Unamerican Activities Committee hearings. Hans Conried had a small role as a schizophrenic (he was hilarious).

Topaz by Hitchcock, although not in the same genre as those in the article, was very badly reviewed by the critics for its portrayal of Castro as a murderous thug. The movie was quite good though in typical Hitchcock style.

There were a few good anti-communist films made in the 1990s. However, they were made by Chinese dissidents, some of whom ended up under house arrest or under government observation, not by Hollywood.

I would like to add a recent movie. I was surprised that Rush Limbaugh recently recommended it as well. I thought it was one of the best foreign films in recent memory considering the topic...

We are being defeated by an enemy that will never take up arms. I can fight a physical fight. I can’t fight against this incremental sheeple scam system that is today’s seditious socialist. I personally do not posses the ability to tell someone to go too hell and have them ask me for directions (tact). I try but as folks see in my posts here....I’ve still a lot to learn.
I try by voting with my dollars, my patronage, my time, a little peer pressure to make sure ass-hats within my voice and reach understand my opinion on such creep from communists and the dumb-asses that don’t have the ability to recognize the MSM for what it is . A digital knife to the heart of our beloved Republic. A war of words is being lost IMO.
Stay safe !
