ANN COULTER AND THE WOMEN'S VOTE
Nealz Nuze/Wsb Radio ^ | 3 October 2007 | Neal Boortz

Posted on 10/03/2007 5:38:51 AM PDT by Turret Gunner A20

Ann Coulter has a new book. "If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd be Republicans." Suggested subtitle ... "You Can't Fix Stupid."

I guess we now know just what sentence, paragraph or thought expressed in Coulter's book is going to be used by the MoveOn Democrat Party and the loony left in an attempt to demonize her.

Here's an excerpt from an interview with Ann Coulter by George Gurley. Here we find Coulter talking about women: "If we took away women's right to vote, we'd never have to worry about another Democrat president. It's kind of a pipe dream, it's a personal fantasy of mine, but I don't think it's going to happen. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women."

The left is sure to jump on this like a crow on a June bug. Thing is .... Coulter is exactly right. Don't take her word for it, just read "Freedomnomics" by John Lott. Here we have a renowned economist going all the way back to the late 1980s to see what happens when women get the vote.

His findings? In every single case, when women were given the right to vote the cost of government immediately began to rise as women, particularly single women, started voting for the candidates who would create more government spending programs designed to provide women with security. That magic word .. .security.

Lott found that young single women overwhelmingly vote liberal. When they marry and start a family they start voting more conservatively. That would be because their sense of security is provided by their family, and they don't want government to interfere in their accumulation of wealth.

Then, if that very same woman starts to feel that her marriage is threatened ... or if she becomes divorced ... she right back there voting for liberals again. Why? Security .. this time from the government instead of her husband. Coulter is right. Deal with it.

If Hillary Clinton becomes (God forbid) the next president of this country, it will be on the vote of young single women and divorcees.

Then what should be done to ‘fix’ this, if people believe that conservatism is the one true way?

The Spartans had their own methods for creating a perfect society— involving slavery and infanticide. BUT, they were a great nation.

What are we, as ‘conservatives’ willing to support to have our country made great again? What things are we, in our heart of hearts, willing to do?

As for the women who ‘see the truth’, I personally think they’re batsh!t crazy myself.

But hey, we still can thing freely, can’t we?

“Marry them off”? Who “marries them off”? Their fathers?

I’ve been a rock solid conservative since I could walk. I put myself through college and then graduate school, in computer science. Lives a thousand miles away from my family for two years. Married a uberconservative man I found for myself, on FreeRepublic. Now I can contribute to our household and savings until we have kids. If I didn’t already have my degree I couldn’t do that.

Focus on educating both men and women on why conservatism is the superior position, and society will improve. Coming up with stupid ideas like marrying girls off as teens, regardless of their own wishes or desires, is not the American way.

What caused the loss of family values?

That's a fair question. I would tend to blame it on the Cultural Marxism that infiltrated our society post WWII. But perhaps the women's vote has something to do with it. Here's a link to an interesting discussion on this. For the record, I'm Tim W. in this discussion:

“magazines (features AND advertising)...absolutely ALL of that stuff is directed exclusively to young women who question NONE OF IT!!!”

I hear you. I’ve recently been subscribed to a variety of magazines targeted at young women, and I can’t believe how inane and badly researched they are. Furthermore, they are always pushing you to buy some junk that is so costly. Who would spend $300 on a pair of shoes? Or $1000 on some ugly purse? God help us if women even believe 1% of the crap in these magazines.

Great minds think alike.

While I’m passing out flyers trying to get people to understand what is happening, my sister is sitting in her house, watching The View and listening to her other lesbian friends.

Her son-in-law calls her a “libtard”. (God love this generation!)

Let’s cancel her out.

Coulter’s not the moron. She understands rank emotionalism better than almost anyone. And she uses her uncanny understanding of (especially male emotionalism) to manipulate people like wet noodles.

Well put. ~applause~

JRBC and I (plus several other ‘conservative’ women) have been made to feel like Blacks at KKK meetings on several threads as of late. We are evil because ...

"Evil"? If you mean a rational person could interpret what I posted to have said anything of the sort, I'd be curious to hear what would support such a preposterous conclusion.

Because women voting has caused the country to slide towards liberalism.

Liberals are evil.

Hence, those who aid liberals must be evil by association.

(Granted, this is all TIC, but I stand by my remark that being a female type person on FR is a nasty situation as of late).

Nicely put Najida.

I think FR is becoming a site for me to post on NHRA, NASCAR, and NFL threads. That is the only place I feel like I am not treated badly.

I am not really going off because I do not want to suffer the fate of so many wonderful women who have refused to be subservient to men and have gotten banned for their opinions.

All I can think is that if Hillary’s campaign machine wants 90% of the female vote in 2008, all they’d have to do is save these threads and post them all over the net.

Pure and unadulterated, they’re pretty damn ugly.

Ann, no one is making you vote. If you feel women shouldn’t vote, then don’t.

And they wonder why the right has a hard time appealing to women. ;~)

It’s not the platform, it’s the people. Women who are smart and independent enough to be attracted to conservative platforms have no need for bitter, paranoid, cynical men who would desperately cling to old world views about the role of women in society.

Paging cinives:
Your quote:
Read your own tagline and apply it to your post. That’s irony.

Some people just dislike women and blame all the ills on the world on women. No, no, if men vote for socialists it’s because they are weakened by the women in their lives.

Now go ahead, explain Stalin’s behavior on women ... his mother or his wife made him kill all those millions ?

VS this article's quote:

Don't take her word for it, just read "Freedomnomics" by John Lott. Here we have a renowned economist going all the way back to the late 1980s to see what happens when women get the vote.

Maybe I really am a man in a girl’s body. :) Because I read my husband’s Maxim every now and then and I enjoy it much more because:

(1) it’s really funny
(2) their howto tips (how to fix a flat tire, etc.) actually work. The women’s magazine’s howto tips, like how to do some hairstyle, never turns out right.
(3) The girls’ outfits are way cuter

And see, I’d rather spend $1k on speakers that would make my Xbox games sound cooler than on some shoes that would go out of style in a few months.

I find mens mags just as stupid as women’s I guess.... the only ones I get regularly are professional.

As for clothes and jewelry-— my money, it goes where I want it....

as far as fixing things, I learned as a little bitty girl, I could either do it myself or wait for a man, and wait, and wait ;)

Given your numbers it seems the Republicans would be better off not alienating women with cheap blather like "women shouldn't have the vote".

There are more women than men and women vote in higher numbers than do men. This worked in Bush's favor in 2004.
