The TOTAL women’s vote did not work in Bush’s favor, the SWING in the vote worked in his favor compared to 2000. NON-EXISTANCE of it would have been more in his favor because percentage-wise it would have been mathematically equivalent to 50% of the women’s vote vs. the 48% he actually got in 2004 and the 45% he got in 2000.

This is just an academic discussion about statistics, not about keeping women barefoot and pregnant as you appear to believe.

And us idiotic Republican men don’t discount the clout of womens vote, precisely the opposite because it is working against us. It’s working against you too, if your a Republican and/or Conservative.

This discussion is really just Cons/Repub sour grapes anyway. The women’s vote isn’t going away. Our time would be better spent on showing women why it’s in their best interest to vote for us, and get that all-important swing.

As a woman who has pretty much “done it all” in her life and career, I wouldn’t object if we went back to the day when men took care of business and took care of we women.

I completely blame the NOW Hags for the mess male/female relations are in these days. They sold us a TOTAL bill of goods. I managed to escape it; partially because I never paid attention to them while I was busy living my life.

We women CAN have it all; we just can’t have it “all at once” and we certainly can’t have it both ways!

*SIGH* I really do miss manly, kick-@ss men taking care of our Country and putting Her first. *SIGH*

Oooops!!! Almost forgot. I've already got a wife like that.

Exactly my point! Coulter isn't helping doing that, and neither are the people who seem so quick to agree with her.

going all the way back to the late 1980s

Ooohhh, the 1980s ? That's a long way back for sure !

I'm assuming the poster really means the 1880s. Let's look at society at that time. Where were women in a man's society ? In menial jobs, making little money, with very little ability to support themselves unless married. Did they vote for government programs to make themselves more secure ? I don't know, I'd have to see the research myself, but when male-controlled society restricts a woman's ability to provide for herself, maybe she feels she has no choice.

Any of you women-bashers think of that ?

Men’s mags - porno, mechanics and sports. Womens mags - home decorating, cooking, fashions and crafts.

Other than mechanics and cooking, I think they’re all less than enlightening. :)

If Hillary Clinton becomes (God forbid) the next president of this country, it will be on the vote of young single women...

AKA Ditzes.

...and divorcees.

AKA Bitter hags.

The current “Mr. Diana in Wisconsin’s” contract is up for re-negotiation on April 26, 2008. I’ll let you know how it goes. ;)

(That’ll be Lucky Thirteen years of marriage, so anything could happen, LOL!)

ALL of our volunteers here in this area, South Texas, are always WOMEN. Never do we get men to volunteer. It has been this way since I started volunteering here during elections 1996. We just spent TWO DAYS planning a money raiser rally for our HQ and the meeting was also about our HQ office, where it will be, etc. Invited men, only women showed up. Ahd this is for the whole county, quite a few towns included. I wouldn’t volunteer if I didn’t even get to vote.

I liked that comment...
I still vote conservative...because freedom to be a b!tch is more important than the security of being a pet.

“My suggestion is that we simply abolish all of the provisions of the constitution that allow the federal government to do anything other than operate the military and fight wars.”

We would have a bunch of idiots deciding that for some reason it is alright for the military to set standards for how many gallons you can use in a flush or whether you can cut the weeds on your property. They would have tanks defending snail darters and spotted owls.

The question is not whether a man or a woman holds the office, it is whether the officeholder is an idiot as many of those men are and who elected them, in all too many cases those idiot men were elected by women. I personally have said on this forum that I don’t believe that Hillary will be president because women are the majority of voters and I don’t think women want to see any woman in the white house. I think American women are quite possibly too smart to vote for Hillary, they are however dumb enough to vote for a man who is just as bad or worse if they like his looks.

I leave open the question of whether it is actually possible to find a worse candidate for president than Hillary Clinton, personally I think it would be a challenge on a par with finding a VP dumber than Joe Biden.
