Flag of Mexico Flown Illegally Over Reno Business
Channel 4 KRNV ^ | 10/2/2007 | Greg Knight

Posted on 10/02/2007 2:27:32 PM PDT by Altura Ct.

This afternoon we received a call from a viewer who said a business near downtown Reno was flying a Mexican flag above an American flag... which is in fact illegal.

This, after photos and comments about the flag were posted on Craigslist this morning. When we were able to have a photographer go and check everything out we found the story to be true.

It also didn t take long before the situation provoked a strong reaction. We are now going to show you , unedited, what happened. Click on the video to see what happened.

Okay, by your rules, if I don’t like something you say, I can go onto your property and vandalize it.

You are wrong on all counts. It is illegal in Nevada to fly a flag above Old Glory. The owner had been called by several people and asked to fix the situation.

If you’re right about Nevada law, I’d like to see that taken up in court.

On further investigation, it appears that the Gaming Board's ruling was made in August of 2006.

So, unless they've been disgracing the flag for upwards of a year, the two may not be directly related.

Though, it doesn't take a genius to link the conditions that led to the Board's ruling and the attitude that prompted this establishment to denigrate the U.S. flag.

If true, the issue should be resolved in court, not by juvenille emotional tantrums.

Travis please send this link to the young man, who is in trouble at the U of New Mexico for removing the Mexican flag.

You have to wait through the commercial to see a great action by an American Army Vet.

Then why do we have laws protecting private property?
May as well throw them out, eh?

I guess it’s fair game to vandalize the property of people displaying words or symbols we don’t like. So Democrats and Republicans can vandalize cars sporting “speech” they find offensive.

Free-for-all!

I love that picture and was hoping someone would post it.

Bravo for that wonderful patriot. I hope Rush, Levin or Sean interview him.

Okay, by your rules, if I don’t like something you say, I can go onto your property and vandalize it.

A person, through the use of flags, created a symbol of domination of one sovereign over another. Just as if the sign had been erected stating 'This is Mexico's land, not US land.'

So, aside, as I already conceded, that there is the liability on the vet's part for the value of the property taken (five bucks), which has been offset (through publicity of a commercial enterprise), what's your problem?

You have a right to yell Fire in a crowded theater. You're also not immune to prosecution for the results of your action.

The actions by this vet shows that he hasn’t forgot his swearing in oath into the Army.

Okay, you’re right!. As private citizens we don’t have to allow others free speech.

But vandalizing people’s private property, as far as I’m aware, is still against the law.

Good bit of digging, there.

In the course of a year since the ruling, the owner may have felt it safe to commit himself to the Raza openly.

“...the issue should be resolved in court, not by juvenille emotional tantrums.”

Appears that the most juvenile tantrums on this thread are yours. So you’re anti-American and get off on seeing America belittled... we get it. Take a deep breath and calm down already.

Also, some actions are legal and some aren’t. Just ‘cause you don’t particularly care for a law doesn’t mean it can be ignored without consequences.

"The Mexicans knew damn good and well what they were doing, they aren't stupid. Their bleating about "not knowing it was against the law" is just a ridiculous excuse."

You are right on!  They are playing the system and the American people any way they can.  Add to that their racism and mexican nationalism toward the so called "gringos" and the picture about them is complete.   When confronted, or caught in illegal acts, then conveniently all of them forget  the English language and just playing the dumb person who jut happened to 'not know better' because of  the language barrier.  All the stupid liberals fall for this "give me sympathy" manipulation.   Worst, they (liberals) want to force me to follow their stupidity.
