You are not alone. I still like the Prez, despite his take on a few issues I vehemently disagree with him on.

THE FUNNY THING IS THIS??? I posted that I loved President GW Bush and in fact I think he might just be the best President ever....IT WAS DELETED FROM THIS THREAD???

What is that all about?

Well it’s a free country and you can love who you want. I THINK HE SUCKS !!!

MAYBE IT`S NOT SO FREE HERE??? The comments that I made that I LOVED President Bush and that I felt that PERHAPS he was the best President ever, has been totally removed from this thread????

Like I said something so evil that it had to be removed from this thread???

This is a truth that the American people, and especially blacks, either cannot learn or cannot remember.

Have you seen the Sept. 28 photo of GWB and BC cheek-to-cheek and all smiles? Maybe they are essentially the same in policy. And, yes, I know Roberts and Alito are supposed to be a lot better than Ginsburg and Breyer.

Paul’s answer about pulling ALL our troops out of EVERY place one earth and bringing them home was the silliest response of the night.

Oh, come one, Stop the FDO from interfering in medicine was right up there..

To put it in baseball terms...this is like the AAA All-Star Game.

Ping to last night’s debate. Link for all previous at first post, link to last night’s http://www.pbs.org/tavissmiley.

It seems some think the debates are a waste of time, no so.

We should know every aspect of our candidates (even if some of us wish a few to disappear already). This and the value voters audience are the ones the GOP should’ve had all the candidates voice their views to. Everyone exclaims ‘I want a true conservative’, yet the ‘top tier’ can’t be bothered to come. This isn’t just hearts and minds... it’s a deeper view of their conservatism and we see who panders.

One of these may be the VP, that’s quite a job in the climate we’re in. We can’t leave one stone unturned.

The only reason the second and third tier candidates went themselves is to keep their names in the news before they all lose any funding or donations that will now be sent to Fred. I think that in every race where a candidate enters and he knows just deep inside himself that he has ZERO chance of victory or even of placing in the top three, it's done with a different agenda in mind all along. They're positioning themselves for some kind of post election benefits. Even if it's just the infamous rubber chicken circuit, it can still prove most lucrative. Heck, some might even be made book offers. This is why the (not so) Rev Jesse and the (even less) Rev Al thrust themselves into the spotlight every election cycle. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Duncan Hunter or Alan Keys as President, but I'm pragmatic enough to realize that it's not even a remote possibility. I'll back a horse that can win.

I watched the entire debate. Hunter and Tancredo were the ONLY ONES who did not pander. I found myself suprisingly in like w/ Tancredo (already love Hunter).

Amen, pissant!

You don’t need to pay pollsters or consultants like Morris or James C if you know what you stand for.

If we're going to use baseball terms like an all-star game, I have a different take.

The thing with major league all-star games is the more popular players, often relying on past glory, tend to get voted in, whereas more accomplished but lesser-known players might not be voted in. This also plays into favored big market teams (* cough * Yankees * cough * Giuliani * cough * Hillary).

So-called “pragmatism” means we settle for less. As a result, we get what we deserve by settling for less. The erosion of our country should not be surprising as a result of setting the bar so low.

YOu are correct.

RP, MH and especially Browback should say “good night folks”.

I must say, I always loved to listen to Alan Keyes, even though he sounds like Marvin Martian.

Tancredo, HUnter and Keyes rocked!

I WAS THERE!!! I WAS FIVE ROWS AWAY FROM THE STAGE!!!

</brag>

I also thought Tancredo and Hunter rocked. As for Alan Keyes, bless his heart, I think he really wants to be a preacher more than he wants to be a politician. At least, that was my impression.

Ron Paul came off like a grumpy old man. The amount of supporters he had there was ENORMOUS. To his credit, he was the only candidate I saw who stuck around afterwards to greet his supporters. I was disappointed the other candidates didn’t do the same. (And if they did, I had no idea or indication where they were.)

Alan Keyes is right imho. It may be a good sermon, but the knowledge of his principles is used in the inverse by the left to disassemble the family. No family, more government.

It was a pleasure not to see the 3 amigos there getting all the press and the questions.

“I like the idea of replacing our troops with trained Iraqis and pulling our guys when the Iraqis take the lead. Hunter. (military solution)”

Well, Hunter is a decorated military man & Chaired the House Armed Services Committee, so really knows his stuff.
