But he isn’t as rigid in his delivery as I have seen him in the past.

Here is the crux of the matter without the posturing and spinning and all the usual political gamesmanship; When given the opportunity to speak about conservative values and principles, you take it.
No matter how hostile the environment, you go and make the best case for the Conservative cause you can. Otherwise, it’s all about self-promotion and getting elected. I understand it might be smart or practical for the top tier to sit out this debate, as well as the Value Voters Debate. My reasoning is that a smart campaign will be of little use to us when our country becomes a 3rd-world cesspool and murdering zealots attack within our shores again.
I find it both intriguing and beguiling that it is so hard to get those to talk, who are for the most part, all talk.

“The supporters of other candidates are bitter because there candidate didnt bother to attend.”
So why didn’t they just start another thread?
Of course, they would have nothing to say because their candidates didn’t debate, but what the heck. :)

Aside from who did good and such, was it an exciting debate?
Did they let their hair down and release some fireworks?
I WATCHED the entire 90 minutes, I enjoyed it.

I liked this debate, because unlike the other debates, everyone got equal time - how REFRESHING!

Glad Duncan Hunter brought out the fact that in ‘64, the Civil Rights Act was passed with a higher proportion of REPUBLICANS, rather than Dems.
The Dems just use Black people and other minorities, but more and more Blacks are catching on to that.

Saw that too, and you’re absoutively right. The NBRA has some excellent information on such points and an excellent fact-check of the usual pandering articles on the Jena 6.

It is curious that the folks closest to the trenches speak like we do amongst friends.
The higher ups? well, they speak the double talk of leaders.
Its maddening, at times , but I suppose it is all part of the dance.
We all want a leader that is steadfast and at the same time we will stone them for wearing their heart on their sleeves.

“I WATCHED the entire 90 minutes, I enjoyed it.”
I’ll be looking at it in a few minutes, I haven’t watched a debate yet, but this one may be a little more free, and edgier than the ones to date, according to some on this thread.
