We went back to D.C. to show our support for the troops with Families United and had a great time. This trip full filled a dream of mine and my wife. It was a great pleasure to meet Kristen and just no body on this trip. It also was great to counter Code pink and the Iraq vets against the war.
We start this trip on a good note flying to D.C. on this plane.
It was a good omen to start our trip.
The first morning we get to hear from Congressman Baird that is taking heat from his own party for his veiws on the troop surge.
After tours of the Pentagon and Arlington Cemetery we had quite a big day coming the next. A breakfast at the White House. This was a surprise and a dream come true, It also was fun to see Kristen there and 600 hundred Families of Gold Stars mothers and Blue Star Mothers and Fathers having a great time with our CIC.
Here is Kristen giving the Vice President a SURGE TO VICTORY BUTTON.
This next one is of my wife and a gold star mother getting a dream come true , a thank you from the CIC and it shows.
This was a trip of a life time. I even had some fun debating with the Head of the Iraq Vets against the war. This made our trip complete and the best ever.

Thanks for the ping.
weldgophardline, I think it was a good sign that you had an eagle on the tail-fin of your plane. And, a chance to meet the CIC, WOW!
This was my first full-fledged rally and countering the looney left, anti-American pigs. And, I too loved being there to show my support for our military and their families. Please Thank your son for his service. Thanks to you & your family for your sacrifice.
God Bless you

It was a blast and meeting some of the D.C. Freepers was a great addition to the trip. Kristen was great and I know he has been busy the last few weeks but I got him to come out to dinner and it was so cool to talk to him and some off the Gold star fathers that went to Iraq last year.
The only down spot was when the Code Pink did the hate the troops thing at our news conference. It upset a lot of the Gold Star Families and some of The Vets for freedom that we had there to honor.
But when it started we ignored the code pinky's and had a great rally to show our support of the troops.

Thanks for doing that for us.
I was sitting in my unit in Iraq (again) and surfed through channels. VOA was broadcasting the Gathering of Eagles rally, and it was great to see/hear Kristen, Raoul, and the families fight back!

And, please know there are millions of other Americans who support you and all of our military and their families. Thank you for the sacrifices you are making to help protect the rest of us! The news may not talk about it but we are here....and, we’re becoming more vocal.
May God bless and protect you!

Dale Lanham told me yesterday that you guys got to meet with the president!!!
I can’t think of a couple that deserves that honor more than you two!
Please share details about your debate with Adam Kokesh. Where it took place and what happened. Dale mentioned that too, but did not share any details.
Thanks for coming to the Boulder Rally. It was really fun to meet you both.

I did have a Small talk to the head of the Iraq vets against the war. I told him that I knew of him and I did not like all that he was doing. He started saying how was against the war and wanted more VA funding and tests done for radiation on the troops. I told him I agree with the VA funding and the testing but when he stands with CODE PINK I lose any respect for him and his lot. I told him when he stands with ones that support the enemy he could go to you know where.
I told him to be out doing this protest at a news conference being done by Gold Star and Blue star families was wrong and it was upsetting some of the families there.
I told him it was disrespectful of them and their ones serving and the ones that have gave it all.
He did say that they would pull back and not be as vocal as the code pinkies and the John Edwards group, I did notice that they were not as vocal during the News conference. So after this it was a high light of my trip besides getting to shake General Pace's hand and thank him for what he has done and to be able to have my wife get to hug the President was the best trip ever.

I am so glad you were able to confront him. As Raoul said these boys are being mentored by the viet nam vets against the war, and I don’t think they understand how damaging what they are doing is to our troop morale.
I wonder if they are even being paid to do this work, perhaps Adam K. is getting a big fat pay check and it just makes finanacial sense to him to be working for the Anti War Commie Machine.
I am so happy that you were able to go and have all of these great experiences, I can’t think of a couple who have worked harder for the cause of freedom!
