McGreevey tells wife: You'll get zilch from me

Jim McGreevey yesterday accused his soon-to-be-ex wife of "greedily" grabbing at the perks of being New Jersey's First Lady - and refusing to give them back.

In legal papers packed with snide and catty comments, the openly gay McGreevey told estranged wife Dina Matos McGreevey she can expect to get nothing from him.

Matos McGreevey had asked him to pony up $4,000 a month in alimony to help her live a lavish lifestyle like his.

"Her jealousy and contempt are almost out of control," he said.

"She greedily took the perquisites that my job offered her. ... Not only does she view [the governor's mansion] Drumthwackett as an entitlement, but she believes that she must be kept in that kind of lifestyle."

McGreevey resigned as governor in 2004 after announcing he was gay.

McGreevey's legal team said New Jersey law requires alimony payments only if the marriage lasted more than 10 years - and the McGreevey's is only three years old.

"As such, she is not entitled to alimony of any kind," said his lawyer Matthew Piermatti in the papers filed in Union Superior Court.

McGreevey, who pays $1,129 in child support, said his wife's complaint described his lavish lifestyle, concentrating on the 17-room mansion he lives in with his boyfriend.

"It does not belong to me," he said. "I have no lease and stay there only at the pleasure of its owner. ... I own no home."

And he lists his average income as $154,000 - a fraction of the $428,000 his wife claims he made last year and which, he says, included a one-time $250,000 payment for his book.

The pair's lawyers are due back in court next week.

You’d be shocked to find out how truly f#%&ed-up some people are. Look at just about every senior member of the Clinton administration for Exhibits A, B, C, etc. in this regard.

"Her jealousy and contempt are almost out of control," he (Jim McGreevy) said.

Jealous of some fag ex-Gov who resigned in disgrace? I doubt it. But it's easy to believe she holds him in utter contempt.

In a high cost of living state like New Jersey, $48,000 a year doesn't go very far after you tote up the expenses. His wife is far being a gold digger if she asks to be maintained in a middle class lifestyle. There's no one to blame for the breakup of the marriage but her husband. By all accounts she was the faithful wife.

The issue of free rent is fairly well defined when it comes to employment related reduced rent. Clear rules (mostly) as outlined above.

Why is McGayvee living in this house? Is it to provide security while the owner is away? Is it out of the goodness of the owners heart?

I’d check with an enrolled agent before providing an opinion but imputed income is common in the case of bankruptcy (debt forgiveness) and housing allowances that are not Required as a condition of employment.

If he was a Log Cabin repub, you can be certain that he would be paying taxes on the free rent.

Well, if Dina Matos is as dumb as you claim, then that just gives more credence to the fact that she was unaware of McGreevey’s homosexual tendencies/affairs/infidelities/lies, etc.

Also, if Dina Mantos is obviously so intellectually challenged, then that lends support to the argument that she receive even MORE money from her ex, as she is too dumb to support herself and her daughter.

My goodness, the scum has really been rising to the top today. The Brittany bombout, the OJ marathon on Fox TV, Berkhead vs. Stern vs. Geraldo... now we’re talking the culture of corruption.

FYI; Cipal was hired for 110K a year. Maybe that is why McGreevey’s ex is so mad.
McGreevey’s boyfriend would have been making more than twice what she asked for.
You can’t make this stuff up..

unfortunately I'm all too familiar with the antics of mcgreedy the nutball

you see I live here in the lovely garden state
& must be constantly humiliated by this creature
because he won't shut up & go away.

The dems here deserve to suffer him for as long as they let him get away with his nonsense...
They put him in the governors seat, not me.

When I first read of Jim McGreevy’s resignation, I smelled a rat. Where in New Jersey’s Constitution or the qualification
for the office of the Governor doe’s it say it is unlawful to remain Governor’ if a sitting Governor is revealed as a homosexual?

Considering his previous holding of two political posts simultaneously, I suggest he resigned before the real truth got out revealing something more nefarious than simply being a ‘switch hitter’ Ed from CT.

Shaking my head...Too bad one of them didn’t rat him out. IMHO he is just a scummer. I heard he wanted full custody of his daughter awhile back. I would hope he doesn’t get it. In fact I think his rotten arse should be jail.

He may be a “degenerate pig,” but she knew all about it when she married him, unlike his first wife who I do feel sorry for...

Dino is and was a Greek princess who married him because she thought she was getting on the gravy train, so to speak....

So because she allegedly knew about him she's deserves squat. But, if what you say is true, did he know about her? And did he marry her because need a wife to perpetuate the facade of being a normal hetro family guy?

So it seems he used her as well.

Truck stops? *shiver* Toe tapping involved with that?

What a creep he is! So now he enters an Episcopalian seminary, getting ready to ride the free gravy train of the church, just like he rode the free government gravy train.

It must be nice never to have to work for a living; stiffing your wife and kid; and letting the taxpayers and the churchgoers pay for your expensive habits (and boyfriends).

If you aren’t a homosexual, you are certainly fulfilling all the stereotypes of one - pissy, bitchy, and spiteful.

How do you know when she found out he was a faggot?

This guy is a whole different side of an agenda though.
People like him have destroyed the party of my grandparents.
They were democrats & so were both of my parents.

In fact, I thought JFK was my uncle when I was a little girl.
(after all his picture was framed & hanging on the wall)
I'm not kidding.

somewhere along the way the democrats allowed the liberals (& freaks) to over-run their party.

mcgreedy represents much of what they've allowed themselves to become
& nothing that I want to be.

Someone can correct me, but I believe McGreevey has entered a seminary in order to become an Episcopal priest.

The ECUSA, of course, ordains gays, but one would expect a bit more kindness.

Sheep’s clothing......
