Orlando International Terror Plot?

"Credible Security Risk" Those are the words of the pilot on Delta Flight 1824 out of OIA, after it pulled back from the gate Friday morning to take off for Atlanta. Nine Middle Eastern passengers, six males and three females, had been denied access to the plane when TSA screeners found they were carrying an array of suspicious items ranging from hydrogen peroxide, which can be used to make bombs, to wires and Vaseline bottles taped together. Perhaps most disturbing, what one TSA worker tells me were the first positive tests for SEMTEX ever reported by security at OIA. SEMTEX is considered the bomb making material of choice by Islamic terrorists. In addition, a couple of them also had improper identification. The suspicious passengers were denied access to the flight, but ultimately...(are you ready for this?)...they were allowed to go on their way after questioning by airport officials and Orlando police!

I wonder if there's any chance we could find out who made the decision to release these folks.

Our security is tested all the time to see how effective it is and how we respond.

The 6th anniversary of 9/11 comes tomorrow...hope it is uneventful.

Terror Plot Suspects Planned ‘Dry-Run’ of Attacks in Next 2 Days, Sources Say
Thursday, August 10, 2006

LONDON — Suspects arrested Thursday for planning to stage a massive mid-air terror attacked were in the final stages of planning and planned to run a dry-run of the plan within two days, U.S. intelligence officers said Thursday.

One official said the suicide attackers planned to use a peroxide-based solution that could ignite when sparked by a camera flash or another electronic device.

The test run was designed to see whether the plotters would be able to smuggle the needed materials aboard the planes, these officials said. They spoke only on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the subject matter.

– a common tactic among hand-to-hand fighters who want the advantage in the event someone tries to grab them or put them in a headlock.

Just a note to all you other western redneck, cowboy boot wearing, big buckle types.

You ever whip that belt off and see what kind of damage a half pound of glimmering belt buckle at the end of a four foot leash can do? Just a passing thought.

Practice. They do.

They let them go.

And if cops were in the habit of checking immigration status of traffic stops there would have never been a 9/11.

I guess the vaseline won’t protect them against that. :)

We can still knock the snot out of them.

Actually they are mistaken if they think vaseline will stop the 100+ passengers from killing them with their bare hands.

Holy cow! They let them continue ON

But of course. We want to see where they go and who they talk to, don't we? Give the fish a little line, and play em' out.

Right now, they are probably being tortured at their final destination, Saudi Arabia. There were allowed to continue their travels for a reason.

Orlando International Airport is MCO.

Folks call it OIA, instead of MCO. Not that many people know that OIA was originally a Strategic Air Command facility named McCoy Air Force Base. The nuke bunkers are still in place at the very south end of the old runways.

They have a BUFF on static display at the north entrance of the airport, in all it’s Vietnam camo glory.

Sorry this is getting back to you late.
Had to meet Mrs. Jazzy for dinner.
