Julie Annie is way left of all the candidates in both parties.

I think it's more a case of he'll say whatever he needs to at any given time. This guy has been all over the place. He contradicts himself here, years before.

Giuliani: Illegal immigration no crime-Not what he told Mike Cutler!

Mike Cutler: "After the senator and the U.S. attorney engaged in a bit of bantering about a recent trip they had taken to Italy together, D'Amato turned to the issue of the penalties for the crime of Re-Entry After Deportation. U.S. Attorney Giuliani asked me for the statute concerning this crime and I told him that it was to be found in Title 8 of the United States Code, Section 1326. After a short while, Giuliani got back on the phone, obviously he tracked down the law and said that I was correct, that the maximum punishment was 2 years in jails and that the law did not differentiate between aliens who had criminal convictions and aliens who did not. He told Senator D'Amato that boosting the penalties for criminals who are deported and illegally re-enter the United States was a great idea! "

The complete email from Mike Cutler below:

He will do whatever it takes to eliminate the threat of Islamofacism

Eliminate it? Really!!! WOW! That's sounds like Superman!

Exactly HOW will he do that? Do tell!!!

Exactly WHAT specific training and experience will he rely on in doing so?

Will he... Impose gun control on the middle-east? Have every dark-skinned person strip-searched when on federal property? Appoint mob associates to head DoD and DHS? Other? Please DO fill in the blanks here and be specific in supporting your contention.

Did you ever think that in doing "whatever it takes," Rudy acknowledges a loss of freedom for everyone?

"Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every
single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion
about what you do and how you do it."
-- Rudy Giuliani, New York Times, March 17, 1994

So you need military experience to be the President of the US?..sounds like a left wing talking point to me.

For the position of Commander In Chief? Yes, I prefer they have some experience dealing with the military.

Left wing? How do you figure?

I think we should all keep in mind...the left wing activist media is out to discredit him. I wouldn’t believe everything you read. If you want the truth go-to-his website.

At any rate, I haven’t completely decided who I’ll be supporting. At this point it’s a toss up between Romney and Giuliani but I am leaning more toward Giuliani as I’ve stated he may not be the perfect candidate but he’s the best candidate to eliminate the #1 threat that America faces today which is Islamofacists who want to slaughter us...everything is secondary, IMO.

Apparently there are regular FR posters who are willing to lie about Fred's record, which is very disappointing. I realize that some FR posters are ardent supporters of other candidates and that's OK, but I had not expected outright lies.

Sad, isn' it....

You've been asked to back up your contention.
Repeating it by responding to earlier thread comments doesn't make it true.

it's called COLONIZATION

All you have to do is look downhill to the east to see the colony....BTW, when do put VivaLaRaza on trial for Treason?

I mean, after all, he did swear to uphold and defend. That means we have grounds for charges....and you know what happens after we convict on that charge...

I’m amazed at how many people on this thread didn’t even take the time to read the article.

I’m not. Many of them hate Rudy more than Hillary, which is just daffy.

Problem is that Fred's Senate voting record on immigration is almost 100% pro-immigration. If he tries to make an issue out of Rootytoot's position on immigration his voting record will be brought up, and it will show him to have voted against almost every bill that would have placed more restrictions on immigration and heavier penalties on employers who hire illegals.

That's the thing. The reality of the situation is that the RNC is in favor of mass immigration. They couldn't care if the status quo goes on forever, and would only be slightly happier if they got amnesty. The four "front runners" are quislings when it comes to this issue.

But why would he take a position that is opposed by over 75% of potential voters?

Rudy now sounds adamant about stopping illegal immigration but I agree with you that he is more tolerant of those already here than a lot of us would like. However, I have heard him express an intent to deport any alien who refuses to come forward and get a card with biometic ID.

Fred was likewise not nearly as tough on illegal immigration as most of us would have liked while in the Senate. I am not inclined to hold a lot of what he did against him. All or almost all of his votes were before 9/11, which changed immigration into a national security issue.

You could say the same about Rudy. Pre 9-11 attitudes are of limited use to me in judging him. I put more stock in his current views because 9-11 really did change things.

Wow, where did you come up with THAT one???

First of all, not only is Rudy not the perfect candidate, he is the MOST IMPERFECT Republican candidate out there (Paul doesn't even count)!!!!! I will list all the reasons if you really want me too, I mean, there are SO many of them.

Second, exactly what would he do different than President Bush is doing now? Expand sanctuary cities? Ban more guns? It's outrageous to say that Rudy is the only Republican candidate (again, Paul doesn't even count) who will aggessively fight the WOT!! Absolutely outrageous.

You’re making the best case that can be made for either Fred Thompson or Rudy Giuliani, and your argument is strong. I don’t trust either of them, and I likely will not be able to trust either of them unless one is elected and actually performs well in office.
