As a political party, the Democrats sure make lousy psychics.
You may recall Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's famous utterance that the surge was a "failure" even before half the additional troops earmarked for Iraq had arrived. Now the Democrats have turned their powers of prognositication on the report to be delivered by General Petraus next week before Congress and are already dismissing it as unreliable despite the fact they haven't heard or seen it:

Even if we get a good report that we can leave victorious before 2012, they would still dismiss it.
Dems will get an early copy, analyze it and get back to Al-Qaeda with their recommendations on how they can win this struggle with the Great Satan.
“Now the Democrats have turned their powers of prognositication on the report to be delivered by General Petraus next week before Congress and are already dismissing it as unreliable despite the fact they haven’t heard or seen it.”
I guess they’re intent on proving Ann Coulter’s axiom that liberals don’t read.
They didn't even SHOW UP for the last meeting.
The Surge is Working and the Rats are Trapped
Victory is their worst Nightmare and Victory is Near
Pray for W and Our Freedom Fighters
The Dimwits have put their chances of winning the WH in the prospect of losing in Iraq. Anything that contradicts that is a death knell. They know it, and we sure as hell know it.
“The Bush report?” Senate Majority Whip Richard J. Durbin . . . “
This man is a simpering IDIOT.
House Democrats are already dismissing the Petraeus findings -- which are not due for another five days -- while leaving the door open to a compromise with Republicans that would drop a deadline for troop withdrawal.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi is pointedly referring to the Petraeus testimony as "the Bush report presented by General Petraeus," as opposed to an independent assessment by the top military man in Iraq that has been billed for months now. "Progress is not being made," Pelosi insisted in a Capitol presser this afternoon, no matter how some people might want to "cherry pick" stories of success. "The plural of anecdotes is not data," she added.
But top Senate Dems Harry Reid and Carl Levin have hinted recently that they may be open to putting forward legislation with no end date for withdrawal, thereby putting Pelosi and House Democrats on the spot with core Democrats -- both in Washington and at home -- who would be angry at such a legislative outcome.
Today, Pelosi would only say: "Whether people will go for (something) without a date certain for withdrawal remains to be seen."
You are absolutly correct!
Here we go again -— keep your eyes and ears open America and witness the mindless liberals WRITE HISTORY THEIR WAY even before it happens.
Is this what you want in the White House? You aleady have its majority in Congress....and look at what they have done to us already....
The Democraticans never intended to give the Petreaus report much weight.
And especially since Dubya went over there and dictated what General Petreaus could put in the report.
The Democraticans really have no idea how complex it is to dictate an entire report made up of totally spurious data with no relation to reality.
But that small inconvenience has never kept them from trying.
They have not even heard it and they are already pre-emptively dismissing it. Well isn’t that special. Pathetic dog squeeze, one and all.
They are going to say his reporting to the WH first means the WH wrote it. Would we expect Eisenhauer to not report to FDR before he went to congress?? Of course not but that is what PravdABDNC will tell us.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Beside the fact that the LAW that CONGRESS passed says the PRESIDENT will report, not the commanding General.
the bottom line with liberals is that they detest their own country. When their own country is successful at something they detest it even more. The more success we have in Iraq the more whining they will do about it.
Is anyone surprised? The Democrats bet the farm on America losing in Iraq specifically, and the war on terror overall.
They fear any good news, any positive news...in any catagory as long as Bush is President.
