A jihadist website published yesterday a logo which announced that "there will be a special gift coming on the day of the blessed invasion of Manhattan".
These threats are consistent with several echoed by Al-Qaeda during the Summer of 2007. The Taliban spokesman, Mansur Dadullah, warned America on July 15, 2007 of a "big attacks to come soon and revenge the failed plots against UK".
On August 2, 2007, an Al-Qaeda video announced that America will face "a big surprise soon", and on August 11, 2007, the US born jihadist Adam Gradhan spoke about specific threats of radiological attacks against New York, Miami and Los Angeles. The same day, NYC authorities sent teams with radiological detection systems in patrol whithin the city.
That's propaganda maybe, BUT
1. There has never been so many threats since 2001 2. The CIA and FBI openly said the danger has been the "highest" since 2001 3. Al-Qaeda even published a logo to announce the coming attack 4. In chats, most of jihadists seem to agree that there is a long-waited "quality operation" to come.

This war won't end until we humiliate them. A good start for us would be to display enough anger to stop apologizing for collateral damage, and to be willing to exact disproportionate punishment on anyone or anything they hold dear, for any act they may perpetrate upon us.

I agree with you. They’re not going to do anything massive (partly because they can’t) and partly because they have realized that it would be counterproductive. They are definitely taking over without the need for any kind of attack, simply by using our courts, getting their “legal system” (sharia) accepted, silencing dissent, getting Islamic instruction into the public schools, and imposing their customs throughout the US, usually at the expense of the taxpayer.

I don’t think it will happen until after GWB leaves office. While his border policy may guarantee a rough time for his predecessor, everybody knows he will retaliate and Congress would have no choice but to vote for retaliation after a strike.
Islamists sort of have a history of major attacks late in a presidential term — because they figure that President would not want to commit to major military action and the incoming President would be uncomfortable retaliating for something that occurred during a previous Administration.

I lived in Norway for a year as a student in 1974-75, during the OPEC crisis. All of my fellow students were communists, and I was an Ayn Rand card-carrying Objectivist and avowed freemarketer. I can well imagine the care with which you say anything at all o as to maintain civility with acquaintances.

Al Gore would have done nothing. Saddam would have gotten out from the control of the UN (He was very close on 9-11). Usama and Saddam would have united...One having expertise in taking down buildings. The other having expertise in Chemical Weapons. Washington DC would have been wiped off the map!!
