Alright! Been to RAF Mildenhall many times, myself. Closed quite a few pubs there, too.
The only time it was not so and then the deal was that the politician had to divorce his wife and marry his secretary who he was having the affair with to prove he was not having a casual fling that would bring his judgment into question.
He met his wife at Heathrow airport and told her he was divorcing her.
MTP is actually focusing on the fact that Thompson wore Gucci loafers to the Iowa state fair.
Angela kicks ass.
That’s definitely an interesting theory, and one I’m inclined to agree with. Craig running again is definitely more damaging to the GOP than a new, fresh face. It was the new fresh faces that got us the Republican Revolution back in the 90s and it’s that push and drive that’s forcing people like Craig and John Warner out of office this election cycle.
That is why, dear Snugs, he is so often the guest on the Sunday shows. The DBM loves fellows like him. He vindicates their biases.
Good grief, I can't believe he said that. Craig is OUT!
That’s pathetic.
There are a lot of things worth questioning regarding Sen. Thompson, but his shoes? For crying out loud!
Wallace pushing the GOP brand damage meme...drives me crazy.
Gillespie is very good and explains the differences between Craig and Vitter to Wallace, who always seems to push the liberal agenda.
Wallace asks about Warner, Craig, Vitter, but doesn’t ever mention Hsu. Gillespie has a great opportunity to bring up Hsu but doesn’t; too bad.
On to Iraq: Gillespie is also very good on this topic and tells Wallace to stuff it (very politely) regarding taking a position on Iraq until Patraeus and Croker come back and report. Reminds Wallace that even democrats are noticing the progress and mentions the poll about the majority of people believe we are winning the war. Wallace is fighting the good news on Iraq as hard as he can; makes me mad.
Once again, Wallace puts blame on the President when it belongs on Congress, typical. No wonder his ratings are the lowest of the Sunday shows. He is all fluff and no substance.
Timmy question whether it’s “appropriate” (his word) for Thompson to be on Leno while the rest of the field is at another of the seemingly endless debates.
Gillespie is playing word games. Vitter hasn’t been accused of a crime (visiting prostitutes is no longer a crime?) but Craig confessed to “a felony” (Wallace corrects him that it was a ‘misdemeanor’).
[It sound like the GOP leadership is more than willing to throw Craig under the proverbial bus to give the GOP the appearance of cleaning up its ethics/morality problems before the 08 election -- because the ethics/morality problems are what helped defeat their Congressional majorities in both Chambers in 06.]
[Of course, it could have nothing to do with the fact that Craig would be replaced by the appointment from a Republican governor, whereas Vitter would be replaced by an appointment from a Democrat governor. Yeh, right.]
I stayed in the Bird in Hand many times. Good hotel and pub. The stew made with Guiness is the best. They use garlic, onions, beef broth, bay leaf, and a hint of rosemary.
The place was built in 1935, and was famous among US crews during WW II. Churchill himself went there and had a glass of port! LOL.
We don't want to comment on an ongoing investigation especially if Hillary Clinton might be tainted by it.
Mary gives a great response to Timmy’s touting of the negative aspects of the GAO report.
Bob Shrum is a worm. Says we’re bogged down in a civil war in Irag and Petraeus’ report will be like Westmorland saying there was light at the end of the tunnel.
I don’t know if you saw the video, so here is a link.
UR Killing me! Thanks!
