Alright! Been to RAF Mildenhall many times, myself. Closed quite a few pubs there, too.
I stayed in the Bird in Hand many times. Good hotel and pub. The stew made with Guiness is the best. They use garlic, onions, beef broth, bay leaf, and a hint of rosemary.
The place was built in 1935, and was famous among US crews during WW II. Churchill himself went there and had a glass of port! LOL.
