Conservatives DUMP Senator Larry Craig, for sticking fingers under a bathroom stall wall.
Posted on 08/30/2007 7:50:09 PM PDT by pacificus
I read the transcript of the Larry Graig interview with the Minnesota police.
I don't like what I'm hearing from other conservatives. The liberals see a cheap Senate seat and you want to give it to them because a guy moved two fingers under the stall wall in an airport bathroom.
If they had the guy on tape asking for sex, paying for sex, or photographed in the act, or any other physical proof, then I would say that looks very very bad and he should go.
But that is not the case.
This is very lame, and those of you who have never had a disagreement with a law enforecement officer should hope that a cop never accuses you of something. Because by your own action, your professional career, and or political career, should be forit, merely on the word of the officer with no physical proof or corroborating evidence.
Those of you who pass judgement, on Larry Craig, merely on the heresay and liberal spin that has been run in the press, should be ashamed.

I don't see the point of keeping Republicans in office if they have become Democrats. I'd rather stockpile ammunition.

If this happens to you: Wipe and place in hand of ‘sticking fingers under the bathroom stall guy’.

The Senator probably is a butt pirate and he probably was looking to score in the bathroom (rotflmao), but... the evidence, so far, is damn weak.

It’s pretty clear that Sen. Craig was, in some manner, soliciting gay sex. If not he would have to have been dragged kicking and screaming away before pleading guilty to anything.
As such, I don’t want anyone with such an absence of personal control or judgment occupying a Senate seat. This should be obvious. He has to go despite any benefit to the ‘rats. Fortunately, he will probably be replaced by a Republican.

Here’s what REALLY happened. Sheryl Crow’s Toilet Paper Police had been by earlier to remove all but one sheet of toilet paper from the stall. Larry Craig was merely fishing under the stall for more toilet paper, or to get the cop to give him more toilet paper.
Now if he had just called an attorney, he could have used that defense.

Senator Craig pled guilty. How bout you spend your time discovering why he pled guilty?Thank you. Drive through.
To: Waryone
I only try to go by what both the original charge and the one admitting to the charge has said.Actually, you read quite a bit into what Sen. Craig admitted to, but it's splitting of hairs in the larger picture.
To: gidget7
I thought about this after I heard the tape too. If it was me I would have been outraged saying something like: “I CAME IN HERE TO TAKE A $#!^! WTF!” Craig was trying to argue the points. IMO guilty, and if it was a dem in this position 99.9% of FR would see it the same way. We need to clean house, now is the best time to do it in this case.

He knew what he was doing--and worse--he played the "Don't you know who I am?" game with the cop. Then, he tried to play us all for fools with his "wide stance" garbage.
The GOP's new policy needs to be zero tolerance for perverts.

Democrats would turn it on the police by claiming a RWC, racism, sexism, etc.. Fortunately Craig is too stupid to fight like that.

The good people of Idaho will resolve this issue. I am so sick and tired of Republicans dumping their own solely on the bases of the liberal media.
Wrong. We've got to be better than the Democrats or we don't have a leg to stand on. There's no excuse for what Craig did. None at all. He should resign and let the Idaho governor pick a senator who's not going to go looking for sex in the men's room. Such a person shouldn't be too hard to find.

Good try, Democrat. Say it again.... This is Idaho. The only way Democrats can steal this senate seat is with Craig as the nominee. He needs to step down

Nothing? Take a look a the facts: he went to a bathroom that was known as a gay cruising spot and then proceeded to
practice the signs ( they exist for those in the know) that signal the request for lewd gay behavior.
You are getting there slowly, I imagine that you will just keep telling yourself that he did not really do this.
No, he should not be honored. He should have the decency to go away. Not sully his wife and family more. His behavior here is that of a selfish scoundrel and his wife is a fool for standing next to him.

Blam! You just described a good guarter of FR. Principle is nothing, winning is everything.

Yes, and it was wrong and creepy. But, the charge he plead guilty to is not related to that incident, but to the bumping.
