Conservatives DUMP Senator Larry Craig, for sticking fingers under a bathroom stall wall.

Posted on 08/30/2007 7:50:09 PM PDT by pacificus

I read the transcript of the Larry Graig interview with the Minnesota police.

I don't like what I'm hearing from other conservatives. The liberals see a cheap Senate seat and you want to give it to them because a guy moved two fingers under the stall wall in an airport bathroom.

If they had the guy on tape asking for sex, paying for sex, or photographed in the act, or any other physical proof, then I would say that looks very very bad and he should go.

But that is not the case.

This is very lame, and those of you who have never had a disagreement with a law enforecement officer should hope that a cop never accuses you of something. Because by your own action, your professional career, and or political career, should be forit, merely on the word of the officer with no physical proof or corroborating evidence.

Those of you who pass judgement, on Larry Craig, merely on the heresay and liberal spin that has been run in the press, should be ashamed.

How can you people not get this :the reason he did not fight this is because he is guilty. No normal man, charged with this disgusting thing would ever just sorta sign off like it was a parking ticket. How about we have the Police man and the senator have dueling lie detector tests?

Larry Craig deserves to be thrown under the bus - left to perish and be withdrawn from consideration in the future. Same for Mark Foley, friends of illegal contributors, etc.

Net effect, subtract x number of Republican Senators and y number of Republican Representatives.

Democrats operate differently. A scandal occurs, the Democrats shun that person but do not require that person to leave office. They typically support that person for re-election.

Are you still wondering why we Republicans are losing ground?

Immature Toilet Humor Ping!

To be added to this ping list just make some stupid bathroom humor innuendo that has nothing to do with Larry Craig.

Craig really blew it. He threw his life down the toilet. The only way he can resurrect his career is to suck it up, swallow his pride, get on his knees and ask for forgiveness.

Of course I believe him. He was just picking up used toilet paper. Doesn’t everyone do that in public restrooms?

LOL. Yeah, maybe he's a rabid eco-nut and doesn't let any TP go to waste.

To defend this pervert in the face of all the implicating evidence is shameful.

Did you read the transcript of the interview with the cop?

No I heard the tape. It seems to me that for many here his pro-amnesty stance is more of a reason to ruin him than any other.

Strictly from a political point of view, the Dems would love to have him stick around until the next election and run against a very weak Craig.

That will be their best chance at gaining the seat.

But if we get rid of him now, The republican governor will appoint a replacement, who will be an incumbent for the next election cycle.

“Sorry, but that is the common “signal” between pervs in men’s rooms, plus there have been rumors about him for years. Unless the cop is lying, he should go.”

My question is, how do people come about this knowledge? If you can get arrested for it, it should be something well known. I mean, how is the average person supposed to know what a “perv signal” looks like? I originally came down very harshly on Senator Craig, but as information has come out I think this cop was just hunting stats, not perverts.

I heard Mark. He said as a lawyer, Craig actually did nothing wrong. Not what he was being questioned for anyway. But that all was as far as he was willing to say without knowing more. As for throwing Republicans under the bus, when it came to Delay yes, Foley or this guy, no. They were not Republicans in action.

We were practically neighbors! I hope to retire to a red state, it’s a ways off unfortunately.

You forgot Olver, our illustrious Socialist.

I suspect what we have here is foley prevention.

The insiders are not defending craig because of some badly kept secret.

But what is the crime?

The pleading actually basically says he was acting scary by tapping his foot and bumping his foot.

That’s it. The pleading isn’t about solicitation or anything.

How is that a crime?

Craig didn’t handle it right, but I can see where there might be some ambiguity.

I don’t like the entrapment aspects, and one still has to wonder why Democrats aren’t getting arrested for this all the time.

Remember how they tried to get Rush Limbaugh on the Viagra charge? It’s just too suspicious that only Republicans are getting busted when we all know the Democrats are ten times worse in their behavior-whether it’s drugs, sex, graft, or whatever.

Not if the facts become known.

If he can fight it and prove that he was railroaded, he will be stronger than before.

If he's evasive or looks more and more guilty I agree he should go.

The typical knee-jerk reaction is in effect. I will wait for more facts.
