Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards told a labor group he would ask Americans to make a big sacrifice: their sport utility vehicles.
The former North Carolina senator told a forum by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, yesterday he thinks Americans are willing to sacrifice.
Edwards says Americans should be asked to drive more fuel efficient vehicles. He says he would ask them to give up SUVs.
Edwards got a standing ovation when he said weapons and equipment used by America's military needs to be made in the United States. He says tanks and ammunition for M16 rifles are being made in other countries.
He says jobs that provide equipment for America's defense need to be made in the United States.

My wife can drive my daughters entire team to a meet in one car in a safe, GMC SUV.
Now, would it be better to have eight other little cars on the road?

Notice mr edwards made no mention of sacrificing other resources, just those targeted for the little people. He fully intends to maintain his resource-extravagant lifestyle while others should make the sacrifice. Does this idiot think it takes no energy to build and maintain a mansion? Only the stupid will follow the limo-liberals and mark my words: Hillary will be the next president because of the largely stuck-on-stupid voting segment of the population.
That stupid ass should have fax’d that speech to Al Ghoul first, he’s the guy who burns up enough fuel in his assorted SUVs and the like, and has a ‘carbon footprint’ like Godzilla.

Edwards needs to move into an apartment and turn his 28,000 sq ft hotel into a hospice for terminal progressive ideology.
Leftists, invariably, take the position that their “good ideas” must be implemented at the point of a gun.
They justify it by saying that “we all vote on it”, and turn a blind eye to the fact that any law or regulation inherently has a gun behind it.
