That sounds more like looting than shoplifting.

“…..and makes it difficult for employees to identify them, even on surveillance tapes…”

I wonder why are they not showing the surveillance tape? Are they hiding something?

This shows why a revolver is a poor choice for home/business defense. Assuming doubletaps/misses requiring two shots per target, you’re looking at NINE speedloaders to be able to deal with all the “customers”. Good luck.

With a semiauto like a 17 round Browning High Power, you’re looking at only three extra magazines - which is about what I have to hand anyway.

Assuming the mob (because that’s what this is) has the usual “run away” break point of about 50% (you shoot a max of 50%, the rest flee or surrender) that’s even better - one reload for the semiauto is all that’s needed.

Better the bad guys worry about the police than vice versa.

Too big for practical use in a pistol.

I’ve got a 50 round stick for a BHP. Totally impractical, but it’s fun to freak out libs at the range with.

I was in a liquor store in Seligman, MO a couple years back while one of these “swarms” was taking place. Very well organized, obviously well-rehearsed. The people came into the parking lot in several different cars, all filled up with gas, all wearing long coats, all running everywhere in the store, all left at the same time. Quite a sight to see...BTW, they were all Hispanic.

And to that end, may I suggest the Saiga-12? Now available with 20 round drums.

In my neighborhood, a mob would be on the losing end due to the expertise of my younger neighbors who regularly like to play on weekends with their .50 BMGs.
