Why is the West trying so desperately to revive an enemy which was practically dead? US sends millions to the "Palestinians", no one is truly interested in "energy independence"...etc. Either Islam itself is the coming "World religion" or is highly resistant to it. In the second case it would have to be smashed and the people introduced to a new religion, or in the former case it would have to be made powerful enough and given motivation to invade the weak west.
