Over the years, I have thought about getting a tattoo. Surprising considering my fear of needles! lol I see them everywhere on every classs of person, I see the artwork vary from onr body to another. What causes someone to decide to have a tattoo. Is it cultural? Is it a fad? I am seriously thinking about it now. Any stories, suggestions? Thank you!
Good description. I’ve always been somewhat repulsed by tattoos on women, unless they are small and tasteful and in a place normally hidden.
Just my personal preference.
LOLOLOL
My guess is, that she’s WAY OVERWHELMED at the responses.
Where to begin....
I’d hit it....
With an ugly stick.
No, wait. Too late.
If after that time you are not sick of the sight of it then you can consider getting a real one. It's kind of a dry run if you like. If you find that you hate it, then there's no permanent damage to your skin and it will be fade from sight in a few weeks.
Man you got that right. Any woman who gets a tattoo, that Indian guy shedding the tear from those 70s pollution commercials should be next to them.
Nothing expresses yourself like something on your neck or wrist.
You got a booger-thing goin’ on.
Got my first tat at the age of 58 - in memory of my Dad. Added to that one,and now have 18 on my arms. Have a few more to do.
seems vaguely un-christian
I like tattoos that are tasteful and not gaudy. I wouldn’t get one myself but I have seen some nice ones. The eye catching tease tattoos on women that are positioned to not be overt but just peek out have a certain allure, I must admit, even for me.
I met a surgeon in my training who would intentionally sew the prison tattoo ( belly tattoo of “Folsom” or “Vacaville” etc) off center to mess them up when he operated on them.
Thats just a damn shame.
How ‘bout a couple of those big lower lip and earlobe disks like you used to be able to see in National Geographic before they got so PC.
There’s also skull deformation and foot binding, why limit yourself to just a tatoo?
Why not get a large piece of paper and have a crummy artist draw on it in an ugly green or red color? That way, when you tire of the drawing, you can crumple it up and throw it away. And your beautiful body stays pretty.
He wasn't an Indian. He was an Italian American born in Louisiana named Espera DeCorti, the son of of Italian immigrants. IOW a fake just like Ward Churchill.
I agree. I got a tattoo after I was well into my 40s. It took a 4 times at the tattoo shop before it was finished. I always thought it was odd to see the kids in there searching for a suitable piece of art on the wall for their tattoo. I figure if you don't pretty much know what you want when you walk in, you don't need it.
Also, much to my shagrin, my son has jumped on the tattoo wagon. He is only 20, but he has several (not visible most of the time). I wish he'd have waited till he were older to start. Every time he comes home on leave, he has a new one or gets a new one.
