Over the years, I have thought about getting a tattoo. Surprising considering my fear of needles! lol I see them everywhere on every classs of person, I see the artwork vary from onr body to another. What causes someone to decide to have a tattoo. Is it cultural? Is it a fad? I am seriously thinking about it now. Any stories, suggestions? Thank you!
LOL, yup
I watch it too.Amazes me what they can do! I definitely am not that wild! lol I would get something small and meaningful. If I do at all. I figure if I am still on the fence, then I better not.
Nice tat ~ man, you’ve been busy today!!!
My wife loves that show, I’ve never watched it. :) She has no tattoos, I have one on my right forearm; a black panther when I was in the Navy in ‘48.
How COOL!
I’d love to eat at a place like that!
See ya’,

It is a really nice place. I like the food and the atmosphere. Pretty ritzy for little Grafton. They have a site on-line.
It’s a permanent, visible testament to stupidity.
It’s ugly, garish and primitive.
It’s a fad, but unlike green hair, you can’t get rid of it.
It could hurt you if you ever wanted a conservative job or a conservative girlfriend.
Other than that, it’s great.
In eight years of active duty as a medical officer in the Navy in the 1980's, I saw hundreds if not thousands of old tattoos from 10 to 40 years old on both active duty and retired patients.
If you get a tattoo, no matter how great it looks at the present time, it will look horrible after enough time has passed.
You should also consider that female tattoos are a current fad but, unlike other fads, you can't just donate them to Goodwill or change them with a visit to the hairdresser after they are no longer fashionable and date you.
(I still remember a tattoo of a Smurf, of all things, on one sailor that he had gotten when he was 18 and still thought that Smurfs were cool.)
To use a male example, just imagine your husband or boyfriend trapped in an old, faded 1970's leisure suit he can't remove without scarring surgery.
That's my opinion but it is your body.
You’re a MOM and you want to get a TATTOO?? OMG! Tattoos are Sluttie looking! Low Class also......DON’T DO IT!!
My sentiments exactly!!!
There are lots of ads now for faders and cremes that remove tattos.
It seems many are disenchanted and will spend big bucks, lots of time to get rid of them. I expect it ia a total new market for the makers of hydroquinine.
It could hurt you if you ever wanted a conservative job or a conservative girlfriend.
Would you like to rephrase your comment to ozaukeeMOM? :-)
Not that there's anything wrong with it. ;-)
One man's trash is another man's treasure?
Or, Beauty is in the eye's of the beholder?
Please explain the difference between those body modifications and body modifications done in western society like breast implants, face lifts, tummy tucks, hair coloring, shaving, etc.
At what point does one draw the line?
God gave men facial hair. Isn't it a body modification to shave hair off one's face?
God gave women hair under their arms and on their legs. Why not condemn women who modify their bodies by shaving?
Again, at what point does one draw the line?
Which is to say, no more authentic an indian than George W. Bush is a rancher/cowboy.
well said!
This thread has sucha variety of responses. I love it. This is an example of why I enjoy this site so much!
So, what happens when a physically-fit girl with a tattoo walks in and a soft girl without one walks in.
To whom will the guys flock then?
Hot & Cold have always been in the top 10..
I went to school with a gal many years ago that had “Sweet” and “Sour”.
I don’t know about passion. I would call it a carefully worded, clearly spelled out response to somebody that couldn’t comprehend their own hypocrisy. Seems I’ve gotten through to you. : )
