Ron Paul supporters urged to attend MoveOn.org Rally !
RonPaul MeetUp Group ^ | 26 August 2007 | David Osborne

Posted on 08/26/2007 10:44:41 AM PDT by davidosborne

Many of you know that I help organize the Duncan Hunter "meetup" group(s). I decided to peek in at the "competition" and found it very interesting that Ron Paul supporters are being urged to attend the MoveOn.org rally....

http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1/boards/view/viewthread?thread=3421862

I post this because I know there are a lot of folks on FR that support Ron Paul.. I just wonder if you are participating in this effort.. or what you think about this whole business of catering to MoveOn.org

.... quote from an active Ron Paul supporter

Somebody posted a thread concerning moveon, and letting their members know about Ron Paul. As a member of moveon.org, I received today an invitation to create an anti-war rally on August 28th. They will be doing rallies all across the nation on that day. We should invade this event. During the rally, bring anti-war stickers, signs, and flags -- and also Ron Paul signs. Introduce moveon members to Ron Paul, the REAL anti-war candidate! Anti-war people will ask about Ron Paul and be introduced to him on that day. Don't be rude, just gently introduce people to the peace candidate. Moveon.org is well cordinated, so if enough of our people show up at their rallies, we might be able to convert a huge number of people.

I have already created a moveon.org anti-war rally, on the 28th at 7pm, right outisde of the West Covina Mall. Please, everybody who can in this group, COME. It's on the corner of Vincent and Plaza Drive in West Covina.

Here's the official pic of your boy:

He just turned 72, do you think he looks presidential?

I'm an Independent, so you all vote carefully in the primaries. >:-}

Ron Paul has become an embarrassment...he has always been like this and now it’s showing...in his early years we all thought him to be a bit of a kook...the kookiness has arisen again...it’s brought back memories of his ridiculous side.

Debate the issue, your man is being invited by a leftist organization as a spokesman for the anti-war crowd, and you support that?

Paul formally received an invite? When is the date and time he'll speak on behalf of MoveOn? Perhaps you should read my post #104. I stated if Paul does this I'd be the first to denounce him and no longer support him. Of course, you don't have any evidence or proof that Paul was invited or even share their viewpoint.

Your guy is DEAD last in every poll out there, regardless of how you think it's manufactured, If he was taken seriously, even the MSM would give him play. But they don't, know why?

Paul has won several straw polls and came in a solid 5th in the Iowa straw poll. I expect him to do no worse than 3rd in the Texas straw poll. He'd probably own it since Rudy McRomney aren't going to Fort Worth.

You know and I know that these MSM polls putting Paul at 2% are suspect, as Paul supporters are younger and more Internet savvy. But then again, you'd probably believe everything you hear in the MSM anyway.

Even the straw poll that really counted to a degree in Iowa, RP was a dismal also ran.

How so? He came in 5th and got a solid 9% without spending a fraction of the money or time Romney did. He's got a network of grassroots supporters, stop playa-hating and give the man his props!

Good thing his supporters can cart themselves around the country beating their drums. No one who is looking for a serious candidate is looking at RP.

Yeah, all those poor, misguided folks out there who are supporting Paul. Damn it, why can't they support the establishment! Why are they wasting their time with a nutcase like Paul?

Get back to the rest of us when RP breaks out of SHARING of 2% with the other also rans.

If the polling firms called cellphones, Paul would win hands down in polling.

Face facts, you can't argue with public opinion. And it doesn't favor RP.

Paul's network of grassroots supporters say otherwise.

Agree completely. I can respect many Paul supporters from FR even though I have profound differences with him. That said, too many of his supporters are myopic and think that anyone who isn’t Ron Paul is “establishment.” Rudy=Mitt=Duncan=Tom. Like no one besides Paul has read the Constitution, and no one can have a valid difference of opinion regarding expeditionary military campaigns or pre-emptive force (even Ayn Rand acknowledged the right of any free country to invade a non-free country).

As a Ron Paul supporter, I don’t have a problem with this. Paul himself isn’t attending, and if his supporters are able to introduce anti-war leftists to real, traditional conservatism, so much the better.

"It's not about winning. Paul is creating a movement."

So does an eight oz glass of prune juice.

Sorry I just couldn't resist. >:-}

What are you, some Hollywood gossip columnist? Joan Rivers?

I don't judge a candidate on his looks, I judge on his ideas.

But if you want my opinion, Paul has a grandfatherly, early 20th century appeal to him that many folks find reassuring.

He sure does, but I'm voting for Ron Paul because of his stance on the issues. Not like the women who elected Slick because they liked his hair.

“(1) Ron Paul is not anti-war in the same vein as Howard Dean and the left-wing is.”

Anti-war is anti-war. The end result is still the same.

No it's not. Paul wanted the Iraq war declared constitutionally and then our troops fight without Washington tying their hands. And no nation-building or police action.

I bet if Paul would have been president on 9/11 he would have declared war without waiting to see what the "international community" thinks. Plus he'd secure the borders.

Having seen in person far left gatherings + the Paulites, they are not introducing conservatism to the left wing.

The Paulites are preaching anti war, the planes that went into the WTC 9/11 were remote control, anti Israel, etc.

Have seen them at their booths, in gatherings, and they blend in with the far left as they preach this propaganda.

Also a car down the stree has a Paul bumper sticker and a 9/11 was staged sticker.

Omigosh! A nationwide campaign has one leftist supporter! That's makes me rethink my whole support of Ron Paul!

The Hunter campaign must really be getting desperate.

Ron Paul “supporters” and MoveOn moonbats are one in the same. Both push LIEberalism and use the same talking points to do so.

Do you think plagiarism is a question of copyright law?

So let me get this straight.

I'm not allowed to use the laughing dog icon or the Wyler's koolaid, right? Are these specifically your properties?

In that case, I'd better stop posting all the pics and other graphics then.

Ron Paul = Ross Perot

He is being pushed by the dems so as to sabotage the GOP. It could work just like Ross worked.
