Clinton's first lady records locked up

Archivists say the former first lady's documents at her husband's presidential library won't be released until after the '08 vote.

LITTLE ROCK, ARK --

. - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton cites her experience as a compelling reason voters should make her president, but nearly 2 million pages of documents covering her White House years are locked up in a building here, obscuring a large swath of her record as first lady.

Clinton's calendars, appointment logs and memos are stored at her husband's presidential library, in the custody of federal archivists who do not expect them to be released until after the 2008 presidential election.

A trove of records has been made public detailing the Clinton White House's attempts to remake the nation's healthcare system, following a request from Bill Clinton that those materials be released first. Hillary Clinton led the healthcare effort in 1993 and 1994.

But even in the healthcare documents, at least 1,000 pages involving her work has been censored by archives staff because they include confidential advice and must be kept secret under a federal law called the Presidential Records Act. Political consultants said that if Hillary Clinton's records were made public, rivals would mine them for scraps of information that might rattle her campaign.

"Those files -- that's the mother lode of opposition research," said Ray McNally, a Republican political consultant in Sacramento. "Opposition researchers would be very hungry to see what's there." Robert Shrum, senior political strategist in Democratic Sen. John F. Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign, said: "In 2 million pieces of paper, would opposition researchers hope to find one where she wrote a memo saying, 'I wish I'd never gotten involved in healthcare?' Sure. That's what they'd love to find."

I heard they were having Sandy Burglars pants and socks bronzed so they can be displayed right next to the cigarette and slurpy machine at the front entrance.

She isn’t the only one- remember Dean and his locked archive of papers from his governorship of Vermont?
Remember Kerry and his military records?
All the Dems run on their record, the record that no one gets to see.

“bridge to the 21st century” but I see it as the “trailer house to no where”

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a picture of it.

My reaction was to wonder why someone would try to make a treehouse out of a mobile home?

Wonder where Hillary falls on the BMI chart. Since that is a lefty push.

I agree 100%, she also doesn’t want you to look at her senate record either.
According to Dick Morris and Eileen McGann, “In their book “Condi vs Hillary,” they blow the lid off Hillary’s pathetic Senate performance - a list of accomplishments that are so meager her supporters ought to be embarrassed.”
“Hillary has had a total of twenty bills passed since she entered the Senate. Of those, fifteen have been purely symbolic in nature.”
In five years as the most influential Democrat in the Senate, Hillary has managed to get the following laws and resolutions enacted:
• Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site
• Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month
• Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor
• Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall
• Name courthouse after James L. Watson
• Name post office after John A. O’Shea
• Designate August 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day
• Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day
• Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death
• Congratulate the Syracuse University Orange Men’s Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
• Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men’s Lacrosse Team on winning the championship
• Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program
• Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda
• Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death
• Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty.

Only five of Clinton’s bills are, according to Morris, “substantive”:
• Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11
• Pay for city projects in response to 9/11
• Assist landmine victims in other countries
• Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care
• Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the Wilderness Preservation System

Hillary claims that she has the experience and expertise to be our next president. If the above is all she can claim then we could get a small business owner with more accomplishments.
I also note that she never mentions her senate record in any of her campaign speeches. AMEN.

Wel Calp, I think before too long Hillary will be scramblin' like mad to get back to where Joe Leibermann is.

The DNC is already thinking about ways to turn its monster machine leftist jump back to the middle, you can see it in their conduct. Shaheen in California has them all stirred up! I mean there is a hippie freak who they want to go away, because she reminds America of what the dems really mean for the country....Bats in the Congressional Belfry...they have shown that big time.

How will the DNC try to shut up Howard Dean, the driver of their leftist Monster Moonbat truck, and how will they shut up Michael "Ultimatum" Moore, let alone that jerk "Pork Barrel" Murtha? I salivate to think what they will do. Maybe Dean will be offered a job as the Democrap Representative on the UN's new involvement in Iraq, and HE will be sent way over to Kurkuk, out of TV contact. One can only hope.

The Democrap Convention promises to be either a blood bath between leftists and moderate dems, or a totally rigid, orchestrated , scripted event, good for pubbies either way. America will laugh at them.

Ya don't hear much now about "get out of Iraq!"

The Dems will try to flip again on Iraq...now its " we'll be there 50 years ....boo hoo!"

Hillery is now Wayyyyy left on the BMI chart , I'd bet.

I'd like to keep her there, and this sealed file issue will do the trick!

>>>Ya don't hear much now about "get out of Iraq!"

Actually, MoveOn.org just sent out a collection plate yesterday to finance their new propaganda drive:

Excerpt:

From : Eli Pariser, MoveOn.org Political Action

The Iraq war goes on. And the Bush administration is still totally unwilling to face the catastrophic damage it has done.

But I'm more hopeful that we can end this thing than I've ever been. The people are with us. Heck, the troops are with us. Momentum in Congress is finally on our side. Key Republican senators recently broke from the president. And after the big "Petraeus Report," Congress will vote on timelines to start bringing troops home. If we push hard enough in the next 60 days, we can end the war.

This is our moment to go big—to leave no stone unturned. But pulling out all the stops in our on-the-ground organizing will cost about $198,000. We'll need more bus tickets and train tickets and gas for our organizers as they criss-cross their regions talking to volunteer leaders. More pizza when folks stay up til 3am preparing for an event. Can you chip in $25 to help us go big in our campaign to end the war in the next 60 days?

/excerpt

And until the bats in the congressional belfry are behind bars, I will remain doubtful that we are in a serious war on terror. It was that belfry that got us here. And the Murthas, Clintons and kennedys remain at the helm.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket I bet that Hillary's true BMI is about a 34, but the Leftists have pushed her image back to 24 on the BMI index.

How will they ever redefine her image to the right again, feed her Ben and Jerries until she waddles?

Who knows, the DNC game is fast afoot, and we will have to watch the fur fly as the Democrap shennanigans soon begin.

Hillary made a failed attempt to change/craft public policy for all Americans. Clinton should not be given any special privileges nor immunity and Bubba Bill should not be pulling any extra strings to make sure Hill’s past is keep secret.

Bubba Bill is attempting to sway the election because Hill lacks the ability to earn it on her own merits. Those coat tails will not last forever.

Hillary’s response when asked if she kept a diary:

“Heavens no! It would get subpoenaed. I can’t write anything down [laughing].” ~Hillary Rodham Clinton, 1996.~
